Dutch designer Janne Wellens founded her eponymous interior design studio in Amsterdam, focusing on the residential and commercial sectors, with the aim of shaping the permanence of Spaces. The studio provides clients with a full range of interior design services, from planning, concept to execution, and finally the guidance of decorations or artworks. Individual design considerations allow them to create a cohesive, exclusive and high-quality environment that reflects the customers preferences and aesthetics.

住宅位于一座公寓大楼的底层，由原钻石抛光厂改建而成，面积约为332㎡。虽然建筑的历史可以追溯至19世纪，但其内部装饰却十分的现代与宏伟。经过翻新后完美融合了舒适的品质生活和宁静的空间氛围，所用到的材料、家具、饰品和灯具无不经过精心挑选。穿过走廊，两扇手工制作的大型胡桃实木拱形门将人们引入开阔的开放式起居室内。

Located on the ground floor of an apartment building, Canal Home was converted from a former diamond polishing factory with an area of approximately 332 square meters. Although the building dates back to the 19th century, its interior decoration is very modern and grand. The refurbished design combines a comfortable quality of life with a peaceful atmosphere, and the materials, furniture, accessories and lamps used have been carefully selected. Across the hallway, two large, hand-made arches of walnut wood lead to a large, open-plan living room.

A private house in Amsterdam, studio Janne Wellens was commissioned to completely renovate it. Starting with the basic floor plan, all the Spaces are revitalized. Wood materials through furniture, wood work, form and other forms, interspersed among them, making the place more home warmth and comfort. The simple and elegant tone of the pure facade provides the best display background for one thing.

In the project design of Studio Apartment, designer Janne Wellens consciously used a large number of natural materials, exquisite art, each piece of porcelain with a special origin and selected furniture to create a scene, under the tone of neutral colors, to fill the home with a warm atmosphere. The sun shines faintly through the tulle, casting soft light, and the delicate fabric and warm wood make a feeling of intimacy.

The Duality

光明与黑暗

光赋予了物体以明暗，二者之间并没有明确的界限，随着所承载之物、置身其中的体验以及身体感知的变化而发生不一样的变化。完美体现了对事物的极致追求，而不完美则是另一种尊重，将物的本身形态展露无遗，拙朴而不失趣味，虽有遗憾而意无穷，这与日式美学

——侘寂，有着同样的哲学观念。

Light gives the object light and dark, and there is no clear boundary between the two, and it changes with the change of the object, the experience of being in it, and the perception of the body. Perfection reflects the ultimate pursuit of things, while imperfection is another kind of respect, revealing the shape of the thing itself, simple and interesting, although there are regrets and infinite meaning, which has the same philosophical concept as the Japanese aesthetic - wabi-Sabi.

Janne Wellens has a passion for architecture, sculpture and crafts. The ultimate goal of the studios works is to create a sense of tranquility. She believes that the development and change of society and peoples busy life every day have made people yearn for a quiet and peaceful indoor environment. This tranquility can be found in its signature aesthetic, characterized by a balanced concept, neutral colors, a warm atmosphere, materials that feel natural, sculptural shapes, and timeless and innovative design ideas.

Finding a compromise between aesthetics, quality and economics, while balancing the owners vision and preferences, ultimately creates a space that is real and meaningful and lasting.
