2022,全球化进程进一步加剧,互联网信息爆炸,世界公民的地理与文化差异逐渐被缩小,东西方的界限也一再被模糊;同时,疫情的影响仍在继续,日渐封闭的城市心态对世界经济、文化等持续造成影响——元宇宙、NFT打破现实与虚拟的边界,而游牧文化与户外项目的盛行也投射了身处城市中心的我们对于大自然的进一步渴望与亲近……公众心理的改变反映在生活的方方面面,亦对未来人居环境提出了全新的思考与挑战。
In 2022, the process of globalization is further intensified. With the explosion of Internet information, the geographical and cultural differences of world citizens have been gradually narrowed. The boundary between East and West has been repeatedly blurred. At the same time, the impact of the COVID-19 is still existing, and the self-quarantine of the city has made a continuous impact on the world economy and culture. Metauniverse and NFT break the boundary between reality and virtual. The prevalence of nomadic culture and outdoor activities also reflect on our desire for nature in the city. The change of public psychology appeared in every aspect of life, bringing new challenges to living conditions in the future.
在这样的背景下,无间设计以更深入、全面的视角去重新思考与定义“人与空间”的模式——从“摩登东方”到“山水观”,我们从东方传统中汲取能量,去回应人与自然。要知道中国的传统思想从来都并非复古,发掘东方传统是一项对今天与未来的生活方式都价值很大的工作,无论是美学、观待世界抑或是人生的方式,我们将其反应到设计上,用设计的力量去真正穿透生活,让人感觉美与舒服——从空间到陈设,从场域到器物,强调人、自然、场域、材料之间的关系,我们试图用设计去创造人与人、人与空间、人与自然间的精神性连结,用设计的力量去穿透生活,真正做到引领与实现东方美学与生活方式的当代复兴。
In this context, W.DESIGN redefines the relationship between man and space from a deeper and more comprehensive perspective -- from Modern Orientalism to Landscape. We extract energy from the tradition to respond to man and nature. Chinese traditional thought is never retro, and exploring tradition is great value for todays and future life style. No matter aesthetics, or way of life, we reflect it into design, and use the power of design to truly penetrate life -- from space to decoration, from field to objects. Emphasizing the relationship between man, nature, field and materials, we try to create spiritual connection between man, space and nature with design, truly lead the contemporary revival of Oriental aesthetics and lifestyle.

上海的过去与未来,既是一段时间也是一方空间,被“新天地”所承接。在这个海派与国际的人文坐标上,无间设计将悠远的东方自觉复兴,于翠湖天地呈现一场空间的诗意剧目。从浮华喧嚣处抽身,拾阶而上,只听见生命与自然的旁白,内心的澄澈渐次回归。
The past and future of Shanghai are not only interpreted as a period of time but also a space, which is embodied in Xintiandi. On this humanistic coordinate of regional and international culture, we revived our Oriental consciousness to present a poetic paradise in Lakeville. Keeping far away from the hustle and bustle of the modern city, the viewer can feel the serenity thats nestled in the recesses of mind.

从山居到隐市,自Villa至Penthouse,W.DESIGN无间设计在铺陈一条进入中国哲学的秘径。无间设计是时代的思考者,为不同类型的项目赋予独一价值,此次汤臣一品Penthouse创作中,无间除考量其豪宅地位和面向人群之外,更在上海之巅,为其附加东方的宁静力量。
We have always been looking for a philosophy of Chinese residence ranging from mountains to urban, villa to penthouse. W.DESIGN is a thinker of the times that endows unique value with different types of projects. In the design of Tomson Riviera, we provided dwellers with a tranquil sense of the Orient.
如何为巅峰打造日常?基于汤臣对豪宅实用性需求的深刻理解,无间从空间尺度到感受的标准,为汤臣设定了东方精神的秩序。整体以大量留白和东方气韵贯穿,在「摩登东方」的理念中尝试空间的诗意表达,追溯中国园林背后所积聚的文化力量及诗意经验,重构当代日常栖居的诗意实践。

无间 X 汤臣一品 | 重塑豪宅价值
“江南忆,最忆是杭州。
无间笔下的江南灵秀,
山苍树秀,水活石润,
于天地之外,别构一种灵奇。
杭州仁恒滨江以江南园林为基调,
廊、亭、水、院、曲水流觞……”
此次设计,“无间设计”与建筑设计gad,景观设计T.R.O.P:terrains open space一起介入,从建筑的平面构架到园林景观的设计,解读整个项目的完整表达。建筑,景观和室内交糅互渗,步入空间伊始,便会发现,已然落入诗人的卷轴中。依托于自然而来,建筑景观取势,室内则取质,弱化室内外的边界,用连贯的灰空间去思考东方建筑的当代性,让叙事脱离空间,呈现出时间维度上的完整脉络。
In cooperation with architectural and landscape design, we presented the project as a whole. When entering the space, the viewer has already fallen into a poetic landscape painting. Nature is taken as design inspiration so that the boundary between indoor and outdoor is blurred. A thorough time dimension of contemporary architecture is visualized with coherent gray blocks.

“传统空间制式化身为三进四重,
由高转深,由深转近,
呈现一种层层递进的秩序感。

如“虫洞”,一层层表达被穿透而过的时空。”
建筑里,每一个空间,每一片砖瓦,都是一波声音的传递、一种情绪的表达、一则故事的述说。正如建筑诗人路易.康所说:把建筑的出现视为人性的表达,是极为重要的,因为我们活着就是为了表达。建筑是一种艺术创造,虚实结合,将艺术审美融入主观创意表达。云山壹号会所,沿袭无间“摩登东方”设计语言,在现代的建筑构成空间中隐埋一条含蓄的东方美学脉络,为当代空间注入古典诗意表达。
Every space, every piece of brick and tile could be an expression of sentiment, or a narration. Louis Kahn once mentioned that‘it is with great importance to see the emergence of architecture as a convey of humanity, because we live to express’. Architecture is a kind of masterpiece that integrates artistic aesthetics into subjective expression. W.DESIGN developed the Modern Oriental language to make an implicit Oriental aesthetic vein in modern architecture, injecting classical description into the contemporary space.

建筑诗人路易斯 · 康一生追求“静谧与光明”的设计精神,他强调“建筑即精神”。无间设计的宁波臻和园,十分注重自然和室内光线之间的搭配,同时,把现代化元素意味浓厚的玻璃和自然山水相结合,让它们在同一片天空下也能够相得益彰。以「摩登东方」的设计语言,描绘江南自然真趣,刻画细腻,有若自然,超越理性的虚构,赋予“空之灵”的艺术气质。
Architectural poet Louis Kahn had been pursuing the design spirit of tranquility and luminosity all his life. For The One Park, we emphasized consistency with man-made and natural light. At the same time, we abstracted elements from the natural landscape and combined them with modern glass, bringing a harmonious atmosphere. With the design language of Modern Oriental, the space depicts the charm of the Chinese natural landscape and the intangible temperament.

“卜居动静之间,不以山水为忘。
庭起半丘半壑,听以目达心想。
脱于空间远近之外的丰饶,
这应该是既捻熟、又陌生的场所。”
天津,东临渤海,北依燕山,兼平面之深远,得山水之浸润,以海河为轴线,水拍海岸,潮起潮落。无间设计延续天津兼容并蓄的建筑和人文精神,解构西方古典建筑和东方意境,置于当下语境,在现代主义的理性框架之下,切入诗意的观游,以山水解构丰富空间的信息,构筑趣致诗意的空间形制。
Tianjin is located among hills, lakes and sea. The city has an abundant natural landscape and profound cultural backgrounds. Thus, W.DESIGN continued applying the city’s architectural and humanistic spirit in a contemporary context. Under the rational framework of modernism, the space is deconstructed and interpreted in a poetic landscape.

在尊重自然和保护生态的原则下,未来山·安吉桃花源最大限度地利用和发挥周边自然环境的资源优势,用当代的手法将人与自然的关系,以时间、空间、光为纽带,融合时代环境并进行再创作,实现“天人合一”的境界,创造一座让人在精神上可以获得饱满力量的空间。
In terms of the reverence for nature, the design of Paradise Village in Anji took full advantage of the surrounding natural environment resources, establishing a close relationship between humans and nature from contemporary design language. To turn ethereal ideas into tangible reality, we created a space where spirituality could be emphasized.

阿尔多·罗西提出“城市是人们集体记忆的场所及载体”。人在空间的位置,对地方的归属感,情感记忆及未来想象皆有可能决定城市的面貌。在杭州海威项目中,我们从杭州城市本身的文化与都市特性出发,用设计语言建立起历史与未来的对话,同时对当代都市精英的生活方式、对未来空间美学的关系进行探讨。
Aldo Rossi proposes that ‘the city embodies the collective memory of its people.’ The appearance of a city is determined by people’s residence, their sense of belonging, emotional memory, and outlook of the space. We started a dialogue between history and the future while redefining the lifestyle of contemporary urban elites and future spatial aesthetics.

随着亚洲建筑的全球化发展,越来越多地区的建筑迷失于千篇一律的风格之中,丧失了独特的风格与固有的文化个性。也因此,人们逐渐意识到,“场所精神”赋予建筑与城市的独特意义是无法被取代的。这也是一直以来无间设计通过“摩登东方”的设计语言所倡导的——用现代的演绎手法,将东方美学转译到当下空间中。
With globalization and its effects on Asian architecture, more regions are adopting a uniform architectural design and increasingly neglecting their unique styles and inherent cultural characteristics. Therefore, people are gradually aware of the irreplaceable significance that the “spirit of locality” endows architecture and cities.
成都世豪一墅江安毗邻机场,坐拥市政公园及河景等绝佳的自然资源;同时项目本身又是极为现代化的建筑体块,在我们对项目“地域文化”与“当代结构”的空间概念进一步探索的基础上,就形式与内涵如何摆脱千篇一律的审美束缚给出了答案。

过往,在诗的语义里,举头之间是“俯仰观宇宙”;叠山理水,将山水移入建筑,是历史得以托付的记忆;中国的山水精神穿越时空,在时光切片中,实现了精神上的造境和诗性的超越,留给当下一份幽远的念想。
The past, could be abstractly illustrated as savoring the mystery of nature in poetry. What kind of connection can a building have with the landscape? The spirit of the Chinese landscape travels through time and space. In the slice of time, it realizes the spiritual sublimation and the transcendence of poetry, leaving a profound impact on the present.
未完成的山水与千年的梦境,便是无间设计正在进行的中国酒店项目:一场消隐于真山水的“游山记”——WOH HOTEL ANJI。融合对当代生活的思考与观察,无间设计导演了一场当代东方美学的生活场景,让酒店呈现出山间特有的聚落感,这是将场地条件从身体感知上进行拆解,成为亲切的小体量聚落,隐于竹林之内,或许我们就可以让人们不经意的进入了。
WOH HOTEL ANJI, a sightseeing tour hidden in the real landscape, is an ongoing project of W.DESIGN. Based on the observation and understanding of contemporary life, we portrayed Oriental aesthetic scenes of daily life to create a unique sense of settlement in the mountains, applying the human experience to the site conditions.

无间设计探讨家的全新价值,打破常规的住宅功能,采用自由平面设置,为上海顶尖私人住宅翠湖五集量身定制空间分配与尺度规划。东方美学中的空间和器物是“养出来的”,每一件器物都是可被收藏的艺术品,甚至建筑本身也成为艺术品的一部分。家不仅是居住本身,还是与艺术、阳光一起呼吸的记忆容器。
To explore the new value of home, we tailored for Lakeville Luxe in Shanghai through free plan lay-out, which broke its conventional residential function. In Oriental aesthetics, each object is a collectible artwork, even the architecture itself. A home is not only a dwelling, but also a memory container that breathes with art and sunlight.

WS SPACE | 城市第三空间的美学实践
“一直以来,
无间设计都不断在探索中突破设计的边界,
去创造更多元、更契合人们生活需求的场景空间。”
美国社会学家欧登伯格(Ray Oldenburg)在《The Great Good Place》一书中提出了城市“第三空间”的概念,这些人们生活、工作以外的场所成为“生活在别处”的另一种选择,将城市空间与不同的人群相连结。WS Space無集就是这样一个连结城市、人与情感,彰显活力的复合式生活美学“第三空间”。
American sociologist Ray Oldenburg put forward the concept of the third space in The Great Good Place, in which places other than living and working become an alternative to living elsewhere, connecting urban space with different groups of people. WS Space is such a combination of city, people and feeling, highlighting the vitality of the compound aesthetic life.

W.DESIGN has always emphasized the power of space endowed by design, which is a connection between space and human emotions, as well as the integration of city and nature. WS Space -- creating a natural Urban Retreat in a dense city, creating a third space for life. Here, the restaurant and the aesthetic area of life are integrated to create a more open space and enhance the interaction and dialogue between people. At the same time, the century-old classical objects are inserted into the space. WS Space -- becomes an experiment of lifestyle, broaden the possibility of design value, and bring different life experience and possibility.

“WS Gallery它不仅是一个艺术画廊,
更是一个通过设计去连结艺术、场域、
时间的新型艺术体验空间,
在这里,百年上海历史与东方传统美学结合,
当代艺术与潮流活动发生,
对现代生活有一定启发的同时,
也对时间有了新的概念。”
真正好的设计是经得住时间检验的——WS Gallery小白楼就是这样一座穿透时间,承载着历史与现代意义的建筑。有别于传统的画廊空间,我们以设计师的视角去看待艺术与人的连结——建筑、场域、时间与人一起成就了四维的情境发生地,人从黑色的暗门进入,呈现在眼前的是开阔的自然空间,树木、花草、落叶与通往小白楼的石子小径一同预示着即将到来的艺术空间的神秘感,直到真正进入这栋留有斑驳时光印记的历史古楼,当代与传统艺术在这里与空间共同低语……至此,设计的力量真正穿透时间,跨越空间,去抵达人的内心。
A splendid work stands the test of time -- and WS Gallery is such a timeless, historic and modern building. Different from the traditional gallery space, we view the connection between art and man from the perspective of designers -- architecture, field, time and people are integrated together to achieve the four-dimensional situation place. When viewers entering through the black secret door, an open natural space appearing in front of them. Trees, flowers, leaves and the stone path leading to the building together indicate the mystery of the coming art space. Until you enter this historic building with a mottled mark of time, contemporary and traditional art are whispering together with the space... So far, the power of design really penetrates time and space to reach ones heart.
HAISHANG 餐厅 | 神秘东方主义的全场域体验
“HAISHANG餐厅的设计,
并非只停留在视觉转瞬即逝的愉悦性,
而是通过加强的物质性与可触摸性,材料肌理与重量,
空间密度与物质化的光影,
通过设计的力量重新恢复用餐的多重感官体验。”
我们始终在思考,设计能够给人带来的究竟是什么,设计能够超越感官的维度吗?HAISHANG餐厅或许交出了一份很好的答卷。HAISHANG餐厅的设计受到“物派”艺术影响,并根植于东方的神秘主义展开。我们通过对设计材料与物件本身的运用,引导人们对于“物”及周遭空间的依存关系进行探索与思考。有隐喻东方的芦苇香气,毛糙并原始的石材脚感,难以道明的神秘主义装置,迷失了时间的老木梁……食材的天然性与物质性的隐喻通过设计被连结,我们引导人们超越目之所及,去想象,去体验。可以说,HAISHANG餐厅赋予了食客不同空间与时间维度上的身体记忆,它超越身体的体验,嗅觉、味觉、听觉……人的感官被充分调动后,最终通过想象力渗透空间与时间,使空间具有深刻的意义,创造一种宛如梦境般的全维度体验。
We are always thinking, what can design bring to people? Can design go beyond the sensory dimension? HAISHANG might be a good answer. The design of HAISHANG is rooted in Oriental mysticism. Through the use of materials and objects themselves, we guide people to explore and think about the interdependent relationship between objects and the surrounding space. There is a metaphor of Oriental reed aroma, rough and primitive stone feet, mysterious devices that are difficult to understand, old wooden beams lost in time... The metaphor of the natural and materiality of the ingredients is connected through design. HAISHANG endows diners with physical memory in different spatial and temporal dimensions. It transcends physical experience, such as smell, taste, hearing... After being fully mobilized, human senses eventually penetrate space and time through imagination, making space have a profound meaning and creating a full-dimensional experience.
