Athena Calderone翠贝卡公寓位于纽约曼哈顿翠贝卡区，是生活方式创意人雅典娜·卡尔德隆（Athena Calderone）近年来最具代表性的私人住宅改造项目之一。该公寓原为博登炼乳公司历史建筑中的整层住宅，后曾由法国建筑师蒂埃里·德斯庞（Thierry Despont）居住与改造，空间保留了高挑层高与深色木饰面的传统特征，为当代室内设计提供了独特的历史背景。

The Athena Calderone Apartment is located in the Tribeca district of Manhattan, New York. It is one of the most representative private residence renovation projects by lifestyle creative person Athena Calderone in recent years. This apartment was originally a whole floor of residential building from the Borden Creamery Companys historical structure. It was later occupied and renovated by French architect Thierry Despont. The space retains the traditional features of high ceilings and dark wood finishes, providing a unique historical background for contemporary interior design.

改造过程中，卡尔德隆与挪威建筑师丹妮尔·西格鲁德（Danielle Siggerud）合作，通过重新组织空间结构，引入家庭工作室与音乐创作空间，使住宅在功能层面更贴合当代城市生活的复合需求。设计并未试图抹去原有建筑的历史质感，而是保留深色橡木墙板、经典壁炉及传统细部，以克制而精准的方式凸显建筑自身的历史叙事性。

During the renovation process, Calderon collaborated with Norwegian architect Danielle Siggerud. By reorganizing the spatial structure and introducing a family studio and a music creation space, the residence was made to better meet the complex needs of contemporary urban life in terms of functionality. The design did not attempt to erase the historical texture of the original building. Instead, it retained the dark oak wall panels, classic fireplaces, and traditional details, highlighting the historical narrative of the building in a restrained and precise manner.

Unlike her earlier Brooklyn residences characterized by bright minimalism, this project shifts towards a more rich and layered aesthetic expression. The design language is influenced by Art Deco and the Vienna Secession, creating a space atmosphere with historical depth and modern precision through the combination of limestone, black soapstone, antique furniture, and custom-made furniture. The texture contrasts between the materials, ranging from wooden wall panels to stone fireplaces, become an important part of the interior experience.

在整体空间叙事上，该住宅呈现出一种跨文化的设计语境。卡尔德隆将旅行与酒店空间的体验转化为居住美学，通过对比例、材质与光线的控制，使住宅在私密性与仪式感之间保持微妙平衡。深色基调、雕塑化家具以及艺术装饰的组合，使空间既具有历史建筑的沉稳气质，也体现出当代生活方式所追求的审美精度与个体表达。

In terms of the overall spatial narrative, this residence presents a cross-cultural design context. Calderon transformed the experience of travel and hotel spaces into a living aesthetic. Through the control of proportions, materials, and light, the residence maintains a delicate balance between privacy and ritualism. The combination of dark tones, sculptural furniture, and artistic decorations gives the space both the stable temperament of historical buildings and the aesthetic precision and individual expression pursued by contemporary lifestyles.
