Studio Change is a newly designed space in Warsaw, Poland, that redefines the concept of fitness and regeneration. Spread across 440 square meters, the interior was conceived as a multifunctional studio that inspires movement, relaxation, and holistic self-care all within a refined, aesthetic, and welcoming environment.

Located in the historic Powiśle Power Plant, the project required a sensitive approach that balanced creative freedom with respect for the building’s heritage and conservation requirements. The primary design goal was to create a high-standard space offering a holistic lifestyle experience, where functionality is seamlessly integrated with atmosphere and mindful comfort.

The interior merges wabi-sabi aesthetics with the industrial character of the existing architecture. The design embraces imperfection, simplicity, and natural materials, contrasted with raw, loft-style elements. A palette of soft beiges, whites, and warm oak wood brings balance and natural elegance to the space, counteracting the cooler tones of steel and brick. Classic herringbone flooring, rounded arches, organic furniture forms, and large indoor planters introduce calmness and harmony throughout.

Functional zones -including areas for yoga, pilates, personal training, massage, and spacious changing rooms - are organized to enable smooth circulation and user comfort. Glass partitions framed in steel maintain openness while referencing the building’s industrial heritage. Particular attention was given to lighting, developed in collaboration with lighting designers, allowing the environment to shift between energizing and calming atmospheres. Acoustic comfort was also a critical aspect of the design.

A key feature of the space is a salt wall made of illuminated panels in warm amber tones. Its irregular texture and gentle glow contribute a natural, soothing accent that enhances the overall atmosphere of regeneration and balance.

Studio Change is a space where form and function are in harmony. With high-quality materials, refined detailing, and a thoughtful functional layout, the project offers an environment that supports physical activity while also nurturing stillness and introspection. It’s a space that blends contemporary aesthetics with warmth - motivating movement, yet encouraging pause and inner focus.
