这座位于曼哈顿上东区的Maisonette，原是一栋始建于20世纪20年代的私人住宅。经Gachot Studios建筑事务所精心改造后，这座联排公寓完美融合了法式浪漫风情与纽约都市的理性气质。这座超过370平方米的双层空间，设有五间卧室和多个功能区，内部设计在优雅格调、克制美学与时代特色之间取得精妙平衡，展现了Gachot Studios简洁大气的设计风格与精湛工艺。

Maisonette, located in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, was originally a private residence built in the 1920s. After being meticulously transformed by Gachot Studios, this townhouse perfectly combines the French romantic style with the rational temperament of the New York City. This two-story space of over 370 square meters features five bedrooms and multiple functional areas. The interior design strikes a delicate balance among elegant style, restrained aesthetics and contemporary characteristics, showcasing the simple and grand design style and exquisite craftsmanship of Gachot Studios.

改造过程中，设计师对原建筑结构给予了充分尊重。地面层保留了承重墙与壁炉，以拱门造型和利落线条构建出和谐的空间布局。墙面采用温润柔和的灰白色调，再现了原建筑石灰粉刷的质朴质感；鱼骨拼花的木地板，则赋予空间水平延展的韵律感。厨房配备超大岛台和无缝定制橱柜，彰显现代主义的整体设计理念，同时与用餐区的石材壁炉形成视觉美学上的共鸣。

During the renovation process, the designer gave full respect to the original building structure. The ground floor retains the load-bearing walls and fireplaces, creating a harmonious spatial layout with arched shapes and neat lines. The walls adopt a warm and soft gray and white tone, recreating the simple texture of the original buildings lime plaster. The fishbone parquet wooden floor endows the space with a sense of rhythm that extends horizontally. The kitchen is equipped with a large island counter and seamless custom cabinets, highlighting the overall design concept of modernism, while creating a visual aesthetic resonance with the stone fireplace in the dining area.

家具与软装搭配上，Maisonette巧妙融合了20世纪中叶经典设计与当代定制作品。比如，Jean-Michel Frank风格的布艺沙发与现代玻璃餐桌，在材质与年代感上形成有趣对话。灯具的选择堪称艺术策展，既有Charlotte Perriand、Ignazio Gardella等大师的经典之作，也不乏现代创意设计。抽象构成主义风格的艺术作品点缀其间，与空间结构形成静默呼应。

In terms of furniture and soft furnishings matching, Maisonette ingeniously blends classic designs from the mid-20th century with contemporary custom-made works. For instance, the fabric sofa in the style of Jean-Michel Frank and the modern glass dining table form an interesting dialogue in terms of materials and the sense of age. The selection of lamps can be regarded as an art curation, featuring both classic works by masters such as Charlotte Perriand and Ignazio Gardella, as well as modern creative designs. Artworks in the style of abstract constructivism are dotted among them, forming a silent response with the spatial structure.

The most remarkable feature of Maisonette is its ingenious spatial transition design. From the highly ceremonial entrance hall to the main living room, and then to the private study and bedroom, the flexible partitions and material gradients naturally divide different functional areas, creating a visual effect that is both close and distant. This design not only optimizes the practicality of living but also endows the space with a unique narrative quality, making Maisonette an ideal residence that combines cultural heritage with the aesthetics of life.
