Designed by Glenn Sestig, the founder of Glenn Sestig Architect, La Réserve Hotel has been completely renovated. The hotel is located in Knokke-Heist, a famous seaside resort in Belgium, and occupies a prime location between Albertstrand Beach and Silver Lake. The hotel includes guest rooms and suites, and the core space of the central lobby integrates reception, rest and social functions and cleverly connects various characteristic areas: including La Rigue restaurant run by Michelin-starred chef Peter Goossens, a charming bar, a high-end boutique shopping area, a multi-function hall La Réserve Signature that can host various events, a banquet hall Silver Lake equipped with complete facilities, and a solemn yet comfortable meeting room. The spatial design of the lobby of La Réserve Hotel is clearly layered, starting from the minimalist green area at the entrance and gradually leading guests to the central double-height main hall. The entire space adopts an open layout, naturally connecting the reception area, lounge area and main passage to form a comfortable and coherent whole. The lobby takes present nostalgia as its core concept, and creates an immersive space with both historical warmth and modern beauty through a delicate balance of new and old elements. The furniture in the lobby perfectly interprets the balance between comfort and aesthetics. The fireplace area uses a circular arrangement of armchairs and sofas to create a warm resting space. The surrounding bookshelves are veneered with warm smoked eucalyptus wood and decorated with light pink onyx details, creating a warm and delicate atmosphere. The choice of lamps in the space is particularly exquisite, from the main chandelier to the table lamp, which has been carefully matched, especially the leaf-shaped table lamp, which adds a touch of agility to the whole. Entering the restaurant area through the lobby, the transparent La Rigue restaurant is in sharp contrast with the bar. The restaurant continues the iconic ceiling design of the lobby, adding a natural and rustic texture to the space. The warm light from the ceiling falls on the elegant curved dining table, creating a warm and comfortable dining atmosphere. The most eye-catching feature of the restaurant is a ripple-themed wall. The designer took the texture of the beach when the waves recede as inspiration and formed a dynamic visual focus through three-dimensional modeling. The lockers neatly arranged along the wall are decorated with Decospan Talitha ebony veneer, which serves as a decorative background wall and provides an efficient workbench for service staff. Looking up at the restaurant, you can see the staggered golden wooden beams and beveled decorations on the ceiling. The custom oak veneer presents a unique texture, which not only echoes the local traditional architectural elements (thatched roofs and wooden beam structures), but also gives the space a modern feel. Stepping into the bar is like traveling through a time tunnel. The velvet soft package, dark red background, marble material and ebony elements extending from the lobby fully interpret the style of the 1930s. The corridor leading to the bathroom continues the warm dark eucalyptus finish, which strengthens the sense of wrapping in the space. The stone wall on one side is engraved with the names of the hotels celebrity guests from past generations, which is a low-key record of the past glory. Each independent cubicle in the bathroom is equipped with a luminous onyx washbasin, showing the luxurious quality. 1997年，Glenn Sestig在家乡Ghent创立同名设计事务所，开启了他创作生涯中一系列杰作的序幕。其作品涵盖住宅、商业及文化建筑项目，兼及产品设计，足迹遍布比利时国内外。每件作品皆以从容姿态与精准细节脱颖而出，这位比利时建筑师最擅长以举重若轻的方式，呈现令人过目难忘的精致设计。Sestig毕业于安特卫普著名的亨利·范德维尔德学院，在成立个人工作室前曾与多位设计师、建筑师及艺术家合作。这种跨学科与开放精神延续至其独立执业时期，亦体现在与客户的合作中。正因如此，时尚设计师Raf Simons、Pieter Mulier、Ann Demeulemeester、Olivier Theyskens与艺术家Luc Tuymans等杰出创意人士纷纷慕名而来，委托他进行设计创作。
