This newly built beach house on the Oregon coast, perched on a cliff overlooking Nehalem Bay, is the perfect blend of understatement and character. Unlike the traditional beach house style, this house takes a more delicate and natural approach to design, through the repeated use of wood to weave natural elements throughout the space, creating a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere.

Wood is everywhere in the design, from the floor to the furniture to the ceiling, and the texture and tone of the wood flow smoothly through the interior, creating a space that harmoniously blends with the surrounding natural environment. The natural texture and warm tones of the wood, combined with luxurious suede and linen materials, create a refined and comfortable touch. The choice of soft clothing also emphasizes natural elements, the use of linen fabric and suede, bringing soft and delicate texture, making the space both simple and full of style.

This beach house has been designed with a strong focus on the environment. The open-plan layout allows each room to maximize the magnificent views of the sea, and the huge Windows bring the sea view into the interior, forming a perfect natural picture frame that allows the occupants to feel the breath of nature at all times. The designers cleverly avoided the pomp of traditional beach style through simple lines and delicate materials, and instead created a space that is both modern and understatement, fully respecting the surrounding natural landscape.
