Pico is a historic 1916 wooden cabin built by designer Georgina Jeffries in Lorne, Victoria, Australia. The design of this project revolves around three themes: the cultural heritage of this historic house, its suitability for family life, and its close connection to the surrounding garden environment.

As a century-old residence, Picos design retains the original character of the cottage while incorporating modern living needs. With a keen attention to detail, Georgina Jeffries enhances the warmth and layering of the space through the selection of quality natural materials and handcrafted elements. While respecting the buildings history, the design revitalizes the space in a low-key and elegant way, making it a home that is both chronological and functional.

In order to accommodate family life, the space was cleverly planned and the interior layout was reconfigured. The spacious open-plan living, kitchen and dining areas form the heart of the family interaction, equipped with modern amenities while retaining traditional details such as exposed wood beams and classic wooden floors. Each room has been carefully designed to meet everyday needs, yet with a sense of design, creating a warm and functional living space.

Pico 的设计特别强调与花园的联系。大面积的窗户和折叠门模糊了室内与室外的界限，让自然光线充盈室内，同时引入了花园的绿意。户外区域经过重新设计，与室内空间无缝衔接，为家庭成员提供了更多与自然互动的机会，营造出宁静、和谐的生活氛围。

Picos design places particular emphasis on the connection with the garden. Large Windows and folding doors blur the boundaries between interior and exterior, allowing natural light to flood the interior while introducing the greenery of the garden. The outdoor areas have been redesigned to seamlessly integrate with the interior Spaces, providing more opportunities for family members to interact with nature and create a peaceful, harmonious living atmosphere.
