Set in a quiet area of hill villas on the outskirts of Stockholm, Sweden, Villa DS is a design feast that blends historical charm with modern function. Led by Joanna Laven and David Wahlgren of Studio Lawahl, the newly renovated home retains the buildings historical character while injecting the elegance and timeless beauty of custom design.

步入室内，映入眼帘的是以简约奢华为主基调的门厅，其定制的石材地面与弧形挑高天花体现着Studio Lawahl的精湛技艺。黄铜与玻璃吊灯、定制的柚木长凳与隐藏式储物台相互协调。来自Melanie Baker Hörnstein的陶瓷花瓶与Per Brandstedt的木托盘作为点缀，为空间增添手工艺的韵味。

When you step inside, you will be greeted by a simple and luxurious foyer with custom-made stone floors and curved ceilings that reflect Studio Lawahls craftsmanship. Brass and glass chandeliers, custom-made teak benches and recessed storage tables complement each other. Ceramic vases by Melanie Baker Hornstein and wooden trays by Per Brandstedt add a touch of craftsmanship to the space.

The Julep sofa by Jonas Wagell, the Platner armchair by Warren Platner and the black and white marble bookshelf by Angelo Mangiarotti are the highlights of the space, a perfect blend of custom design and classic furniture. On one side, the teak and marble display cases designed by Studio Lawahl and the marble fireplace by Grigio Carnico not only carry specific functions, but also very chic.

The teak and glass side cabinets, designed by Studio Lawahl, complement the oak dining chairs made in the 1960s. On the table is Michael Verheydens Spina candlestick, whose surface has been specially treated to exude a timeless elegance, its organic form reflecting the owners desire for quality and aesthetics. Astrid Textiles selection of curtain fabrics gives the space a sense of refinement.

The Pacha Lounge Chair (Pierre Paulin) and the Series 7 chairs by Arne Jacobsen are coordinated by custom carpets by Knut Mattor; Individual bookshelves display marble vases by Christophe Delcourt and handmade vases by Eva Szentivanyi, creating a comfortable modern atmosphere.

The kitchen serves as an important functional hub in the house, with dark brass custom cabinetry paired with classic paneling and cleverly concealing appliances and storage. It also features Cielo marble countertops and Vola faucets, while vintage chandeliers, Pigreco chairs by Tobia Scarpa and ceramic vessels by Eva Szentivanyi and Jonas Lindholm are designed to add an artistic touch to life.

The piano room has been converted from the original kitchen, and the Lina armchairs designed by Gianfranco Frattini and the coffee table by Piero Lissoni are the focal points of the space. The large area of Knut Mattor custom carpet gives a warm feeling; On the windowsills, Eva Zethraeuss ceramic sculptures and Louis Kalffs retro lamps for Philips are placed in an interesting place.

家庭厅以舒适为主要考量，选用Patricia Urquiola设计的Sengu沙发与Carlo Hauner和Martin Eisler设计的Costela扶手椅。近处Percival Lafer的复古咖啡桌与角处Konsthantverkarna的手工陶瓷器皿前后并置，彼此间遥相呼应。

Comfort was the main consideration for the family room, with Sengu sofas by Patricia Urquiola and Costela armchairs by Carlo Hauner and Martin Eisler. The retro coffee table of Percival Lafer nearby is juxtaposed with the handmade ceramic ware of Konsthantverkarna in the corner.

主卧像是一处静谧的庇护所，Studio Lawahl为空间定制了橡木边柜、柚木家具与床头板，并采用复古的壁灯与挑选Maria Cotellessa和Malin Stocke创作的陶艺雕塑来为空间赋予艺术气息，同时Dedar的Pazl面料软饰能够使人完全地放松身心。

The master bedroom is a quiet sanctuary, with custom oak side cabinets, teak furniture and headboards, vintage wall lighting and selected pottery sculptures by Maria Cotellessa and Malin Stocke to give the space an artistic touch. At the same time, Dedars Pazl fabric soft decoration can make people completely relax.

The master bathroom is highlighted by Rosso Levanto, Bardiglio and Carrara marble floors, which are complemented by a custom teak vanity, Dornbracht faucet and vintage light fixtures by Sergio Mazza with exquisite dark brass details.
