From an artistic perspective, this café design interprets Hong Kong’s cultural genes with a unique color code. The whole space is wrapped in HK Tram Green (Pantone 3415 C), a hue born from the leftover military paint for trams in the 1940s. This color is not only a visual symbol of nostalgia but also a tribute to the city’s resourceful spirit. Amid the cold metal and glass of the airport, the warm green creates a serene haven, making the transient travel space full of emotional resonance with local memories.

用艺术视角解读，这间咖啡馆以专属色彩密码诠释香港的文化基因。空间通体被香港电车绿（潘通 3415 C）包裹，这一诞生于上世纪 40 年代电车军用剩漆的色调，不仅是怀旧的视觉符号，更是对城市巧思求生精神的致敬。在机场冰冷的金属与玻璃之间，温润的绿色构筑出静谧的休憩港湾，让转瞬即逝的出行空间，因本土记忆而充满情感共鸣。

The design turns the airport’s spatial constraints into poetic expression with delicate scene creation. Old TV-inspired signage glows retro beside the host counter, wet market-style light decorations and telephone cord-shaped light features scatter the space with life-like details. A pavilion inspired by bamboo scaffolds stands at the entrance, forming shaded micro-zones under the high ceiling. It inherits Hong Kong’s craft heritage and serves as a practical postcard rack, blending cultural connotation with functional design seamlessly.

设计以细腻的场景营造，将机场的空间限制化作诗意的表达。复古电视造型的标识在接待台旁漾着怀旧光晕，街市风格的灯饰、电话线造型的灯组，为空间铺陈满具生活气息的细节。入口处竹棚架灵感的亭台，在高挑穹顶下打造出荫凉微区，既传承着香港的工艺底蕴，又充当实用的明信片架，让文化内涵与功能设计无缝相融。

Local collaborations inject cinematic artistic charm into the space, weaving layered narratives in every corner. Golden dragon mirror frame motifs co-created with @hopkeung.hkck soar against the abstract cloud murals by Eunis Cheong, presenting a vivid picture of dragon flying in the sky. The floor inlays old Hong Kong "money flower" patterns and tiger tattoo motifs, the former symbolizing the prosperity of street commerce, the latter representing the city’s rebellious spirit, making every step of travelers a dialogue with Hong Kong’s diverse culture.

本土合作的巧思为空间注入电影般的艺术韵味，让每个角落都编织着层次丰富的叙事。与 @hopkeung.hkck 共创的金龙镜框纹样，映衬着 Eunis Cheong 的抽象云朵壁画翩然腾跃，勾勒出龙游天际的生动图景。地面嵌刻着香港老式 “金钱花” 纹路与港式虎纹图腾，前者象征着街市商贸的繁华，后者代表着城市的叛逆精神，让旅人每一步前行，都是与香港多元文化的对话。

Traditional Hong Kong household elements are reborn in the green space, building a tactile depth that connects the past and the present. Patterned tiles, metal grilles and terrazzo counters, the classic symbols of local families, are recreated and integrated into the overall design. Brushed metals with subtle luster and rhythmic lighting interact with the Pantone green, the light and shadow dancing on the green surface create a rich visual layering. The familiar textures arouse the local people’s sense of belonging and let travelers touch the authentic life of Hong Kong.

香港本土的家居经典元素在绿色空间中新生，构筑起连接过往与当下的触觉深度。花砖、金属格栅、水磨石台面，这些本土居家的经典符号被重新演绎并融入整体设计，拉丝金属的细腻光泽与韵律感的灯光和潘通绿相映成趣，光影在绿色肌理上跃动，营造出丰富的视觉层次。熟悉的质感唤醒本土人的归属感，也让旅人触摸到香港最本真的生活肌理。

The layout is tailored to the airport’s travel rhythm, achieving a perfect balance between functional efficiency and artistic aesthetics. Open sightlines guide the flow of people naturally and arouse travelers’ curiosity to explore the space. The flexible seating design switches freely from quick dining counters to leisurely rest alcoves, meeting the diverse needs of passengers with different travel paces. Every fixture is carefully designed, not only ensuring the smooth operation of the catering space but also retaining artistic details, making practicality and beauty coexist in the transient space.

空间布局贴合机场的出行节奏，实现了功能效率与艺术美感的完美平衡。开阔的视线引导人流自然穿梭，也勾起旅人探索空间的好奇；灵活的座椅设计从快捷用餐的吧台到闲适休憩的卡座自由切换，满足不同出行节奏乘客的多元需求。每一处设施皆经巧思设计，既保障了餐饮空间的顺畅运营，又留存着艺术化的细节，让实用性与美感在这方转瞬的空间里共生。

More than a dining spot for transit, The Alchemist Café is a carrier of Hong Kong’s cultural spirit, turning transience into eternity with emotional value. It condenses the city’s resilience, resourcefulness and diverse culture into the space design, making the cold airport terminal a warm cultural station. For travelers, it is not only a place to replenish energy but also a window to perceive Hong Kong’s soul. In the hurry of global travel, it leaves an unforgettable impression of Hong Kong for every passer-by.
