缘起｜从

“自然中的奢华”到“奢华中的自然”

BACKGROUND

悦榕庄自诞生于东南亚，便以

“自然疗愈式的奢华”闻名——如果说普吉岛的悦榕庄是让人‘隐于野’，在葱郁丛林中回归本真；那么，当这一基因置入全球运转速度最快的魔都上海，我们需要重新定义什么是‘松弛’。

Banyan Tree, born in Southeast Asia, is known for its philosophy of “naturally healing luxury.” If Phuket’s resort lets one retreat into lush nature, then in fast-paced Shanghai, this same spirit must be redefined—what does relaxation mean in a city that never stops?

在这个项目里，我们不再试图搬运森林，而是试图捕捉

‘风’。老上海的 Art Deco 建筑为我们提供了启发。从自然中取材、却以城市语言重新表达的美学逻辑，将花、叶、波浪等自然元素抽象成装饰与线条，成为“城市化的自然”的早期范例。

In this project, we are no longer trying to transplant a forest, but rather to capture the feeling of the wind. Inspired by the Art Deco architecture of Shanghai, we drew upon an aesthetic logic that borrows from nature but reinterprets it through an urban lens. Elements like flowers, leaves, and waves are abstracted into lines and patterns—early examples of “urbanized nature.”

From “luxury in nature” to “nature within luxury,” this shift means that nature is no longer just an external landscape—it seeps into textures, the rhythm of light and shadow, and the flow of emotions.In the heart of the city’s hustle, we sought to create an urban oasis—where space becomes a tangible, perceptible third place within city life.

场地文脉｜码头与城市的记忆

HISTORY

项目毗邻历史悠久的招商局老码头。这里曾是中国近代航运的重要枢纽，见证了百年商贸的繁荣与变迁。设计以此为精神起点，借由码头文化的延伸与转译，将外滩独有的城市记忆与现代生活方式融合在一起，在层层高空之上重拾城市与江水的联结，让百年前的码头记忆，在今夜的风声与灯影中温柔回响。

Next to the historic China Merchants Wharf, once a key hub of modern Chinese maritime trade, the project draws on its rich legacy. Inspired by the dock’s cultural spirit, the design blends the Bund’s unique urban memory with today’s lifestyle. Rising above the city, it reconnects skyline and river, letting echoes of the old wharf gently return in the breeze and light of the night.

为呼应场地所处的码头文化语境，我们结合构筑物打造了一件风动船意向的艺术装置。装置使用金属网链将船与风帆的形态进行了融合，既存船之精神

,又有帆之动态，风起之时，风拂链网，激荡起微不可闻的银铃声 。那声音仿佛来自百年前的商船，与此刻手中的酒杯发生共鸣

To echo the site’s dockside spirit, we created a wind-inspired installation. Made of metal mesh chains, it blends the form of a ship and the motion of a sail—anchored yet dynamic. When the wind stirs, the chains ripple softly, releasing a faint chime—like echoes from century-old merchant ships, gently resonating with the glass in your hand.

夜幕降临，配合动态灯光系统，装置与之融合为船旗之光，随风、随景，随乐、随心而动。

“今人不见古时月，今月曾经照古人”，该设计以多感官交织的方式，唤起人们对老码头历史的记忆与情感，也赋予空间以文化的温度与诗意。

As night falls, the installation comes alive with dynamic lighting, transforming into a glowing sail that moves with the wind, the view, the music—and the mood.“In seeing the moon now, we see what ancient eyes once saw.”This multisensory design invites visitors to reconnect with the spirit of the old dock, weaving emotion and history into the present moment. It brings cultural warmth and quiet poetry into the urban skyline.

空间叙事｜从开放到私密

SPACE

设计的出发点在

于营

造一种兼具松弛与温度的氛围。多样化空间形式、通透的空间界面、自然材质与柔和灯光共同构建出一个开放、包容的场域。空间的序列自入口处的主视觉为起点，缓缓引导人们步入公共休闲区，视线被自然引向江景与绿植的方向。

The design aims to create a relaxed yet warm atmosphere. A mix of open spatial forms, transparent interfaces, natural materials, and soft lighting come together to shape an inclusive, welcoming environment. The spatial sequence begins at the main visual point of entry, gently guiding people toward the public lounge area. Views are naturally drawn toward the river and surrounding greenery, encouraging a smooth and calming flow through the space.

As you walk through, the space opens up step by step

beginning with an outdoor dining and event terrace as the core zone, transitioning through indoor public areas and private dining rooms, and culminating in an exclusive VIP garden.

光，是情绪的催化剂。它不只是照明，而是在晕染空间的底色。它在不同时间段以微妙的变化传递出空间的多重气质。

Light is more than illumination—it subtly transforms the atmosphere of a space throughout the day.

白日里，光线温暖而明亮，映衬着自然材质的肌理，带来轻盈与舒缓的气息，让时间的流逝变得缓慢而轻盈。每个区域的氛围都随着功能与情绪的变化而递进，既保留了城市景观的开放感，也在细节中嵌入温柔的私密体验，让人始终处在一种自然且从容的节奏之中。

In daylight, warmth and brightness spill across natural textures, making time feel slow and weightless. You can watch the light walking quietly across the tabletop, tracing its own rhythm.

入夜后，灯光层次逐渐收敛，空间转为柔和与亲密，酒吧的节奏与音乐在微光中缓缓展开；光影的变化让空间在时间的推移中自然完成情绪的转场，也让人们在光影流转

间感受到城市的呼吸与生活的律动。

As night falls, the lighting becomes subtle and restrained. In this mellow, low-light atmosphere, spatial boundaries begin to blur, giving way to a sense of intimacy among people. The gradual shift in lighting gently guides the mood, allowing the space to evolve emotionally over time.

结语｜城市中的一场松弛

CONCLUSION

外滩的历史余韵、黄浦江的水光与陆家嘴的华灯旖旎，共同勾勒出一幅立体的上海城市画卷。上海外滩悦榕庄

TALES SHANGHAI 不仅仅是一处酒吧，它是这座高速运转城市中，一个难得的‘暂停键’。我们希望通过设计，让自然、建筑与人在此达成一种温柔的和解。当你置身于此，哪怕只有片刻，能从忙碌的角色中抽离，感受到久违的松弛与自由。

Where the old soul of the Bund meets the shimmer of the Huangpu and the glow of Lujiazui, TALES Shanghai by Banyan Tree becomes more than a bar—it becomes a breath. A place where design gently reconnects nature, buildings, and people. Here, even fleetingly, you can step out of the citys rush and into a rare feeling of softness and ease.
