CULTURE 朝阳邻居
我们称自己（朝阳coffee）是朝阳邻居，用关怀和周围的每一个居民成为朋友，这样我们才能长久的融合和共存。利用场地进行定期的活动，丰富周围朝阳邻居的生活和乐趣。为晨乐的叔叔阿姨们提供寄存乐器的空间；春节前利用自己的特长，书写春联，为朝阳的邻居们送祝福。我们彼此成为了包容对方的关系，让人既感动又激动。

The venue is used for regular activities to enrich the lives and pleasures of the surrounding neighbors. Chaoyang Coffee is also available for depositing musical instruments for those aunts and uncles when they go for morning exercises. We also set the scenario: writing Spring Couplets and send blessings to the neighbors before the Chinese New Year. We host events regularly, making life more enjoyable and interesting for our neighbors. We provide a place where the music fans can deposit their musical instruments. Before the Chinese New Year, we give out handwritten Spring Festival couplets as a way of greetings to our Chaoyang neighbors. We are tolerant of each other in a relationship that was both moving and exciting.

NOTES 方案
以建筑和城墙的关系为核心。梳理客人和附近居民进入环城公园的流线，我们将原有的咖啡厅门口的地面抬高，让客人可以享受到城墙脚下的安逸，又能通过地面高差的不同有相对的私密性。居民散步可经过咖啡厅，但不会因为咖啡厅的功能所在，而阻止她们进入公园的路径，反而提供了一个可以供她们小息的空间。

We focused on the relationship between the building and the city walls, and taking it at the design’s core. Sorting out the flow of guests and nearby residents into the city-wall ring park, we raised the ground level of the original café entrance so that guests can enjoy the comfort of the foot of the city walls, yet have relative privacy through the difference in ground level. Residents can walk pass the café, but it does not prevent them from accessing the park because of the café', but provides a space where they can take a break.

室内因是古建的缘故，拆除原有吊顶，发现吊顶之下是老木梁，有的虽然破损，但保存完整，不需要做过多处理。所以室内除了保留原有结构以外，做了功能性的轻处理。尽量保持原有的面貌。

The interior was removed from the original ceiling because it was an ancient building, and it was found that underneath the ceiling were old wooden beams, some of which were broken but well preserved and did not require much treatment. So the interior has been made functional with light treatment so as to retain the original structure. The original look was kept as much as possible.

对于建筑外立面的处理，拆除原有的窗扇，做了落地玻璃和造型玻璃，让视野和光线尽可能的相互成就

For the treatment of the building facade, the original windows were removed and floor-to-ceiling glass and modelling glass were applied to allow views and light to complement as much as possible for each other

MATERIALS 痕迹

北院本是一片茂密的树林，不属于设计范围，且我们保留了这里的设计，因为它们是最好的遮阳避暑的空间，不需要再做任何的改变。我们希望时间的痕迹能被保留下来。


The north courtyard was originally a densely wooded area which was not part of the design. So we kept the design of this area as they are the best space for shade and shelter from the heat and no further changes were needed.We want the traces of time to be preserved.

LIGHT 温暖

除此之外我们争取做一些灯光亮化的设计，还有长廊的灯光设计，希望这里晚上能为每一个经过的人点亮一盏灯，保留一份温暖。

In addition to this, we were aiming to do some lighting design, as well as the lighting design of the promenade, in the hope that the place would be lit up at night for everyone who passes by and retain a warmth.
