The unit is within the confines of a building under construction, which imposes certain structural restrictions on us, which are determined by the architectural regime chosen. The layout of the house -- actually our two apartments on different floors as one -- was partly predetermined, as several of the apartments were untranslatable.

As always, the constraints of the design helped us establish power relations between Spaces, raising and almost forcing choices that later formed the nature and identity of the project.

Thus, the compressed environment here shows that there is vitality in the relationship between them as well as in the application at completion. Thus, two different wood qualities -- chestnut and fir (presented in different ways due to their different functions) -- speak to the clay stuccoes, a story of returning to nature, life and ancestral materials.

The idea for a house/shelter in Brenta Heights was realized through ceilings and furniture covered with fir boards and walls decorated with the same stained chestnut boards as the floors. The gray area -- practical and easy to maintain -- refers to dolomite. The textile (wool) elements we find in each home environment soften the atmosphere and make it comfortable without any demands.

Every detail is painted: the jetty shielding the stairwell transforms into a wall of bright lanterns for hours of darkness, gently illuminating the daylight areas upstairs. The doors are handmade to provide continuity and finish in each environment. The kitchen is part of life, built with the same few materials.

The decor of the downstairs bedrooms -- from the daughters bed to the owners, from the closet to the bathroom containers -- was also designed and customized so that those moving between the walls of the home could maintain the same sense of reception, protection and well-being.

The improved environment and lighting defined them according to their function, but most importantly, they used lights when reporting on the day: the choice of technical headlights was for yield quality, rather than design when wanting to be low-key and visible in contrast to the other components of the single project (with the exception of wooden lights in the bedroom)."
