toronto design studio moss lam evokes w1s georgian townhouses with it latest offerings

The latest release from Toronto-based design studio Moss & Lam is a collection of tables, entitled 'W1'. Pictured left to right: 'Mount', 'Dover' and 'Dean'
Inspired both by London's stately Georgian townhouses and the city's vibrant and bustling street life, the tables' names are drawn from the titular postcode. Pictured left: 'Mount'. Right: 'Dean'
Each piece is hand cast using scagliola; a centuries old method of mixing cementitious plasters and pigments to create a marbleised surface
Of the collection's urbane influences, Deborah Moss, Moss & Lam’s artist and co-founder, says, ‘It’s that sense of magic I wanted to capture with these pieces’
