吴滨|新作 武康路自宅 一处时间里的生活印记,一座心安之邸 首

设计师吴滨很早就习惯了风貌区的尺度。骑车时,风从梧桐间轻轻穿过;书店前的光慢慢散开;朋友开的工作室隐匿在街角。工作、兴趣、散步路线,乃至好友间一时兴起的相聚,那些日常的片段,自然而然地汇聚在这片密度恰好的街区里。这种毗邻的日常,让他自然而然喜欢居住在这里。
在这样的城市肌理中,他的居住选择,始终保持着一种从容。无论是皇都花园、上方花园,还是如今的武康路住宅,都源自东方的沉稳心性——脚下的地要真实,视线要与树木、风、自然交流。
Designer Wu Bin moves naturally within the historic districts rhythm—where wind brushes through plane trees, light lingers near bookstores, and studios nestle in quiet corners. Life, work and friendship converge organically here. His choice of residence—from Huangdu Garden to his Wukang Road home—reflects an Eastern philosophy: staying grounded in real land, in constant dialogue with trees, wind and nature.
上海是一个快节奏的都市。而梧桐区会让人的步伐默默调慢,听见心里的声音,也能让每一个微小的细节被认真收藏。
陈丹燕在《上海的风花雪月》中写道:“对在城市生活的人来说,一条从小看熟的街道,一栋日日经过的房子,就是故乡。” 对于身为上海人的设计师吴滨来说,武康路就是这样的地方,对这条街道有着天然的情感与意义。
带着这份情感,他决定着手改造这栋老建筑,允许自己怀念过去,在熟悉的节奏中找到心的方向,也能安心迎接未来。
Shanghai’s pace slows under Wukang Road’s plane trees. As Chen Danyan wrote, “A street known since childhood is hometown.” For designer Wu Bin, this emotional connection guides his renovation — honoring the past while opening to the future.
“在一个可能是全世界最密集的城市里,若能为人提供一个透气的、仿佛置身自然的环境,这里便会生成一种精神性的场域。我想,这正是这所房子最有意义的地方。”
这座老房子是典型的花园式别墅,弧形的拱窗、厚重的墙体、小比例的开窗,虽有历史之美,却也一定程度上限制了自然光、绿意与风在室内自由流动,在阴雨天,光线的缺席让室内略显沉郁。
它因院落环抱而显得开阔,但房子的朝向、百年老树的遮蔽、开窗的比例,令视线始终无法直接指向外部的自然。与东方人关于居所的期待有所差异,亦与设计师心中带着东方气质的现代主义之间,形成一段需要调和的距离。
In what may be one of the worlds most densely populated cities, creating a breathable environment that evokes nature can generate a spiritual resonance—this, I believe, is where the greatest significance of this house lies.
This historic residence features arched windows, solid walls and small openings that limit light and airflow, often leaving interiors gloomy. Though the courtyard adds openness, the buildings orientation and limited fenestration block nature — creating a gap between Eastern dwelling ideals and the designers modern vision infused with Eastern sensibility.
同时,由于历史保护的原因,原始结构无法随意改动,甚至于门窗比例、尺度也必须保持一致,这意味着需要在严苛限制中找到解答,也必须创造符合自己生活方式的空间。
现代主义,本就蕴含东方的智慧,在某个层面上是一种“打开”的哲学:光、风、庭院、留白、不把边界画得过满。这些都与东方处理室内外关系的方式暗合,亦为设计师提供了调和的可能,使得室内外得以自由交互,给予空间更多自然进入的机会与居住的雅趣。
Preservation laws kept the structure intact—even window proportions stayed fixed. This demanded creative solutions within strict limits. Modernism, aligned with Eastern thought, values openness: light, wind and voids allow indoor-outdoor flow, blending nature with daily living through subtle harmony.
真正的可能性来自旁边的辅楼。辅楼原本与主楼分离,没有进入生活的主要动线。但它并非历保范围,可以被彻底打开。于是,设计师做的第一件事,就是让辅楼和主楼连成一个整体,形成一个L 形空间,环抱的庭院就变成了整个房子的中心。
中国传统建筑里常说“因庭成屋”,空间绕着植物、风、光线而建立秩序,人沿着廊下行走,视线与景不断回望。当主辅楼连接、并绕庭院形成环游动线的那一刻,于是便意识到这个家真正的性格出现了。
The real potential lay in the unassuming annex. Originally detached and disconnected from daily life, this non-protected structure was fully reimagined. By linking it to the main house, an L-shaped layout emerged—wrapping around a courtyard that became the homes center. In traditional Chinese architecture, spaces are defined by plants, wind, and light. As the looped circulation took shape, the house revealed its true character—a quiet dialogue between old and new.
从主楼走到辅楼,或从楼梯下来,第一眼看到的是水光、树影;哪怕只是从厨房走向客厅,都会与庭院发生一次短暂的对望。这是东方的节奏。而设计师希望它发生在一栋西班牙外壳的建筑里。
Moving between the main house and the annex, one passes through the courtyard; descending the stairs, the first glimpse is of shimmering water and shifting tree shadows; even a brief walk from the kitchen to the living room invites a momentary visual exchange with the garden. This is an Eastern rhythm — woven into the fabric of a Spanish building.
原本的建筑,装饰繁复,线条厚重。真正的生活,终究要与人的文化、记忆、心境相契合。于是,设计师选择在并不试图完全抹去历史性的前提下,以更温润的手法去转译,使其生出另一种更具“上海气质”的居住可能。
The original structure featured typical Spanish elements: ornate details and bold lines—a far cry from Wu Bin and W.DESIGN’s “Modern Orientalism” ethos. Yet a true home must resonate with one’s culture, memory, and inner rhythm. Rather than erasing its past, the designer chose to reinterpret the space with a softer touch, evoking a living aesthetic unique to Shanghai’s temperament.
他收敛繁复的装饰,压低色彩的饱和度,重新处理屋顶与木作。墙面选用未经饰面的环保基材,保留其帶有气孔的粗粝肌理,自然而拙朴,与木纹肌理显露的地板,一同形成宁静的声场,仿佛空间本身在呼吸。整栋建筑逐渐收敛下来,安静而沉定,逐渐过渡为一种更具东方意味的表达。
He pared back decorative excess, softened color tones, and reworked the roof and woodwork. Walls were finished with raw, breathable materials whose porous textures harmonized with exposed wood-grain floors, creating a quiet acoustic that lets the space itself breathe. Gradually, the whole structure settled into a calmer, more grounded presence — evolving toward a contemporary Eastern sensibility.
西厨中央的岛台选用粗砺的石材,表面带着细小毛孔,色泽深沉而温和,具有古美术器物般的质感。而石材的体块仿若园林中静立的置石,随着时间沉淀出一种静默的力量。
The Western kitchen serves as a cultural hinge: one side connects to the preserved main building, the other leads to the more contemplative Eastern annex. At its center, an island of rough-hewn stone stands like a tranquil garden rock—quietly embodying weight and timelessness.
木饰面采用进口三合板,不再进行额外处理。裸露的纹理以深褐色水性漆轻覆,让木材与石材在色彩与质感上自然融合。材料,会随着时间褪色,逐渐显现出时间带来的美,一种东方的独特浪漫。
The wood veneer, crafted from imported plywood, is left untreated beyond a thin coat of dark brown water-based stain. This allows the wood and stone to merge naturally in tone and texture. Over time, the materials will fade gracefully, revealing the unique Eastern romance of aging — where beauty emerges through use and time.
设计在若干位置开设“天光”,让自然光在不同时刻进入室内,产生各异的光影趣味。光在深色石材与深色木饰面之间缓缓流动,使室内的明暗关系更加温和,令室内更明亮,也令生活的细微时刻因光而显得动人。
Strategic openings for natural light are introduced at key positions, creating dynamic interplay of light and shadow throughout the day. This illumination flows gently between dark stone surfaces and deep-toned wood finishes, softening the interiors light-dark contrast while enhancing overall brightness. The carefully orchestrated daylight makes subtle moments of daily life appear poetic and meaningful.
主楼与辅楼连通后,设计师通过色彩的层层过渡、尺度的掌控与框景的组织,在空间的边界处,有意留出大小不一的“洞口”,让视线在不同方向上不经意间交织。厨房—餐厅—书房—后院连成一条纵深动线。正是看似不起眼的细节,它们决定了人在其中如何行走、停留、回望、甚至独处,于是空间就有了园林的趣味性。
While the main buildings historic facade remained preserved, the auxiliary space embraced contemporary Eastern possibilities. Through layered color transitions, calibrated scales, and framed views, the spatial rhythm unfolds like a winding garden path—guiding movement while preserving ambiguity. Strategically placed openings allow visual connections across spaces, linking kitchen, dining area, study, and courtyard in a sequenced progression where colors shift from deep to light. These nuanced details orchestrate how one moves, pauses, and dwells within the space, embodying the garden principle of being “navigable, viewable, livable, and wanderable.”
餐厅墙边,一幅张恩利的作品静静悬挂。缠绕的“细绳”在斑驳的画布上交错,似一件平凡的旧物,却带着强烈的律动感,映照出现代人内心的复杂与不安。越是在一个嘈杂的世界里,越能提醒人们去珍惜与家人、朋友相聚的片刻,那是生活里最安定、最丰盈的时光。
In the dining area, a painting by Zhang Enli hangs quietly—entangled threads stretching across a textured canvas, reminiscent of humble objects yet pulsing with rhythm. It mirrors the complexities of the modern soul, reminding us to cherish moments shared with family and friends, especially in a noisy world—these are life’s most grounding and abundant hours.
一楼书房,像是园林中的一处“亭”。一面迎向花园,绿意与阳光直接涌入室内;另一面以框景引入后院的雕塑。
The study on the ground floor resembles a garden pavilion: one side opens directly to greenery and sunlight, the other frames a sculpture in the rear courtyard.
人在其中,既能感受自然的呼吸,又如置身美术馆,在艺术的静谧氛围中缓慢行走。
Here, one feels nature’s breath while surrounded by art—as though wandering through a gallery.
望向一侧的花园,规整而简洁的草坪,自然过渡到一片小花园,再与后方高大的树林呼应。围合的矮墙与深色栏杆点状散布,犹如围棋落子,以虚代实,模糊了城市、房屋与自然的界限。
Outside, a neat lawn blends softly into a small garden, backed by tall trees. Low walls and dark railings dot the space like stones in a game of Go—suggesting form through emptiness. The seamless transition between lawn and woodland blurs the line between city, home, and nature, allowing one to forget this is the urban core.
院中水景每天清晨都会迎来五六只小鸟,在水面上饮水、啼鸣。那是一种来自自然最直接的声音。生活在此处、自然在此处、建筑在此处,三者柔和地交织成一个独立的小生态。
The courtyard water feature greets five or six small birds each dawn — they come for sips and morning calls. That sound, pure and direct from nature. Life here, nature here, architecture here — all softly intertwine into one distinct micro-ecosystem.
转身回望,整面落地镜映出层层叠叠的景象:自己、空间、自然彼此交织,虚实相互渗透,有限的建筑里,生长出无限的可能。在时光的隧道里,在东西文化的交汇中,人终于看见了自己,也看见了生活的深情与片段。
Turning back, a full-length mirror reflects layers of imagery—oneself, the space, and nature intertwine; reality and illusion permeate one another. Within a finite structure, infinite possibilities emerge. Here, at the intersection of time and cultures, one sees not only oneself, but also the lingering emotion and fragments of life.
打磨一个房子,其实跟艺术家创作一样,是将自己的情感、用自己的双手融入创作,再经由时间的洗礼,可能会有不完美。但是作品本身是在不断完整的,最终才能成为一件艺术作品。接受时间,接受生活的不同体验,艺术地,用自己的方式生活,这种“慢”和“从容”,是真正的奢侈。
True luxury is the ability to slow down — a calm presence shaped by materials, rhythm, and light, where everyday life carries warmth and authenticity. It is the space to hear the wind and witness time.
家具、器物到装饰细节皆非一蹴而就,而是长期积累的收藏与选择,代表的是主人的经历、记忆。黑胶室收藏了1970年代的阿尔卡特设备,模拟音质所呈现出的温润与厚度是一种情绪的颗粒。满载时间的痕迹,与这幢历经风雨的老洋房相互映照。等一件器物、等一个空间,让他们慢慢长出独一无二的岁月痕迹。
Furniture and objects are cultivated over time, not assembled in haste — each piece carries memory and meaning, just as the 1970s Alcatel player fills the room with an analog warmth that is felt as much as heard. Vinyl becomes more than music; it embodies distance, texture, and emotion, mirroring the weathered grace of this historic house, where everything is allowed to age and gather its own patina of time.
卧室,简洁而舒适,连通浴室与户外露台。一旁置有一处火炉,借由“火”,空间不再被功能分隔,而是用温度和感知为轴线缓缓展开。
The bedroom is simple and comfortable, connecting to both the bathroom and an outdoor terrace. A fireplace anchors the space—no longer divided by function, but unfolds along an axis of warmth and sensation.
窗外绿意盎然,啼鸣声不断,沐浴放松。当从浴室再次回到房间,火光犹在,明亮而温柔。火焰给予庇护,也给予人由内而外的安宁。
Outside the window, greenery thrives with birdsong, inviting tranquility. When returning from the bath, the fire still glows—bright yet gentle. It offers not just warmth, but shelter and peace, evoking ease that resonates from within.
为自己做设计,本质上是将设计回归为生活本身。空间,最终是一个人如何与时间、空间、自然和自我相处的方式。
城市的喧闹隔在一墙之外,屋内友朋欢笑交织。人生确实是有限的,而有限才让人更珍惜当下。多年过去,在记忆中留下的,将是一座心安之邸,一处可以久居的自然之地。日常不只是最美好的风景,更是我们与世界建立联系的方式。
Designing for oneself, at its core, is about returning design to the essence of living. A space ultimately reflects how one coexists with time, nature, and the self. Beyond the walls, the city’s noise fades; inside, laughter and conversation intertwine. Life is indeed finite — and it’s this finitude that makes the present precious, inspiring us to leave lasting marks on the journey toward freedom and dreams. Years later, what endures in memory is a true home — a natural dwelling for the long term, where everyday life becomes the most beautiful landscape, cast in one’s own time.
