At the foot of the serene Colline du Chateau in the old town of Nice, France, a 17th-century monastery has been rejuvenated - the Hotel du Couvent is not a renovated hotel in the traditional sense, but a gentle revival about history, the body and perception. The former religious site for the nuns of Visitandines to retreat has now transformed into a habitat that resonates harmoniously with the contemporary pace of life.

酒店的策划者是知名酒店人瓦莱里·格雷戈（Valéry Grégo），他曾与设计事务所Festen合作打造多家标志性酒店。在这个项目中，格雷戈将自己比作“一位持扫帚者”，致力于保留一切可修复的部分，缺失的地方则谨慎补足，力求呈现修道院原有的神韵与质感。

The planner of the hotel is the well-known hotelier Valery Grego, who has collaborated with the design firm Festen to create many iconic hotels. In this project, Greg compares himself to a broomholder, devoting himself to preserving all repairable parts and carefully filling in the missing parts, striving to present the original charm and texture of the monastery.

客房延续了修道院传统的简朴风格，配以定制家具、精选艺术品和意大利大理石浴室，营造出庄严而温润的氛围。与室内设计的细腻用心相呼应，酒店的饮食体验同样诠释了对精致与本地风味的深刻理解。主厨每日以简朴之礼，利用自家农场的新鲜食材烹制菜肴，搭配天然葡萄酒，呈现纯粹而自然的味道。住客可选择在花园中用餐，在街角小酒馆品酒，或预约私人厨师上门服务。每日清晨，新鲜出炉的面包香气弥漫空间，唤醒人们对生活仪式感的渴望。

The guest rooms continue the simple style of the monastery tradition, complemented by custom-made furniture, selected artworks and Italian marble bathrooms, creating a solemn and warm atmosphere. Echoing the meticulous attention to detail in the interior design, the hotels dining experience also interprets a profound understanding of refinement and local flavors. The chef cooks dishes every day with simple gifts, using fresh ingredients from his own farm, and pairs them with natural wines to present pure and natural flavors. Guests can choose to have meals in the garden, taste wine at the corner tavern, or book a private chef for home service. Every morning, the aroma of freshly baked bread fills the space, awakening peoples longing for a sense of ritual in life.

酒店地下设有一条灵感源自罗马传统的沐浴路径，水温由温热渐变至清凉，帮助身体与空间重新调和；临近的“律动室”提供呼吸、瑜伽、舞蹈和体能课程，为感知注入新的节奏。高处的露天影院与夏季节庆活动，则将修道院的文化影响扩展至更广阔的城市空间。

Underground in the hotel, there is a bathing path inspired by Roman traditions. The water temperature gradually changes from warm to cool, helping to re-harmonize the body with the space. The nearby Rhythm Room offers breathing, yoga, dance and physical fitness classes, infusing new rhythms into perception. The open-air cinema at a high place and the summer festival activities extend the cultural influence of the monastery to a broader urban space.
