La Castana住宅是一栋建成于1948年的独栋建筑，坐落于美国洛杉矶尼科尔斯峡谷，占地712平方米，建筑面280平方米，拥有四卧四卫的空间布局。这座曾出现明显老化问题的住宅，经House of Rolison工作室的阿曼达·利(Amanda Leigh)与泰勒·哈恩(Taylor Hahn)主导改造，实现了历史底蕴与现代生活的融合，成为兼具复古魅力与实用价值的居住空间。

The La Castana residence is a standalone building constructed in 1948, located in Nichols Canyon, Los Angeles, USA. It covers an area of 712 square meters and has a building area of 280 square meters. It features a four-bedroom and four-bathroom layout. This residence, which had obvious signs of aging, was renovated by Amanda Leigh and Taylor Hahn from the House of Rolison studio. The renovation achieved a fusion of historical heritage and modern life, turning it into a living space that combines retro charm with practical value.

设计团队以老好莱坞的空间氛围为灵感，为住宅打造了采光充足且视野开阔的私密环境。改造中秉持选择性翻新的原则，保留了入口比例、壁炉墙、原始窗户韵律等核心建筑元素，同时对厨房、主卧套间与后院进行全新设计，将当代欧洲工艺融入空间，打造出带有经典质感的水疗式卫浴，诠释出低调的奢华感。

The design team drew inspiration from the space atmosphere of old Hollywood to create a private environment with abundant lighting and expansive views for the residence. During the renovation, the principle of selective renovation was followed, preserving core architectural elements such as the entrance ratio, fireplace wall, and original window rhythm. At the same time, the kitchen, master bedroom suite, and backyard were redesigned, integrating contemporary European craftsmanship into the space to create a spa-style bathroom with classic charm, and interpreting a subtle sense of luxury.

空间细节的打磨成为此次改造的亮点，设计团队修复了堪称时代经典的原装Cornue厨房设备，还从当地古董仓库寻得同期门体替换原有入口门，服务区域也选用了20世纪初的复古门件。室内家具采用定制软包、简约线条木工与手工打结地毯等材质，所有陈设的尺寸均围绕大窗设计，让自然景观成为空间的天然装饰。

The refinement of spatial details became the highlight of this renovation. The design team restored the original Cornue kitchen equipment that was considered a classic of its era. They also found the same type of door panels from a local antique warehouse to replace the original entrance door. The service area also selected retro door pieces from the early 20th century. The interior furniture used materials such as custom upholstered pieces, simple-line woodworking, and hand-knotted carpets. The dimensions of all the furnishings were designed around the large windows, allowing the natural landscape to serve as the natural decoration of the space.

动线与功能的优化让住宅适配现代生活需求，设计团队简化了楼梯的曲线结构，让通行路线更直接简洁，所有卫浴空间也完成了布局与设备的全面升级。后院新增的泳池成为景观核心，屋顶融入新古典主义檐口提升了建筑外立面的视觉质感，花园则以科莫湖为设计蓝本，打造出含露台、水景与休憩区的休闲空间。建筑的室内外联动性大幅提升，封闭式的布局保障了居住隐私，让这里既可以成为静谧的独处居所，也能满足宾客相聚的社交需求。

The optimization of the flow lines and functions has made the residence suitable for modern living needs. The design team simplified the curved structure of the stairs, making the passage route more direct and concise. All the bathroom spaces have also undergone comprehensive layout and equipment upgrades. The newly added swimming pool in the backyard has become the core of the landscape. The roof incorporates a new classical cornice, enhancing the visual texture of the buildings exterior facade. The garden is designed based on Lake Como, creating a leisure space with a terrace, water feature and rest area. The indoor and outdoor connectivity of the building has been significantly improved. The enclosed layout ensures privacy for living, allowing this place to serve as a quiet solitary residence as well as a social gathering space for guests.
