La Jolla海滨住宅由建筑师丹尼尔·约瑟夫·切宁（Daniel Joseph Chenin）设计，坐落于太平洋海岸沿线，以克制与工艺为核心理念，将度假居所转化为更具自觉性的空间表达。项目不追求张扬的外在形式，而是以简洁的设计语言梳理空间秩序、营造居住氛围，使建筑呈现出低调而精准的气质。

The La Jolla beachfront residence, designed by architect Daniel Joseph Chenin, is located along the Pacific coast. Guided by the core concepts of restraint and craftsmanship, it transforms the vacation home into a more self - aware spatial expression. Instead of pursuing flamboyant external forms, the project uses simple design language to organize the spatial order and create a living atmosphere, endowing the building with a low - key yet precise character.

项目最初仅为室内改造委托，随着设计不断深化，逐步发展为整体空间的重构。业主拥有丰富的旅行阅历，希望打造一处静谧安宁、布局考究的居所。建筑师摒弃冗余装饰，将设计重心回归空间结构本身，使建筑构件呈现出更为明确的雕塑特征：起伏的木质天花与弧形顶面，暗合船体与海浪的形态，自然呼应场地所处的海洋环境。

The project initially started as a commission for indoor renovation. As the design was continuously refined, it gradually evolved into a comprehensive reconstruction of the entire space. The client, with extensive travel experiences, desired to create a residence that is serene and features a well - considered layout. The architect eschewed redundant decorations and refocused the design on the spatial structure itself, enabling the architectural components to exhibit more distinct sculptural characteristics. The undulating wooden ceiling and the curved top surface subtly mimic the forms of a hull and ocean waves, naturally echoing the marine environment of the site.

在材质运用与细部处理上，项目注重触感体验与工艺品质的统一。定制家具融合木材、皮革、金属等多种材质，经精细加工后呈现出温润而内敛的视觉质感。空间内几乎没有多余陈设，每一件物品都与业主的生活经历紧密相关，构成一种经过筛选与沉淀的生活叙事。这种对“可触之物”的关注，使日常居住体验更具层次与细腻感受。

In terms of material application and detailed treatment, the project places great emphasis on the unity of tactile experience and craftsmanship quality. The custom furniture combines various materials such as wood, leather, and metal, and after meticulous processing, presents a warm and restrained visual texture. There are almost no redundant furnishings in the space, and each item is closely related to the owners life experiences, forming a filtered and refined life narrative. This focus on "touchable objects" makes the daily living experience more layered and with a delicate feeling.

空间布局，住宅以中央庭院为核心展开，清晰划分公共区域与私密空间。庭院既是室内外之间的过渡节点，也是家庭交流的核心场所；卧室则沿外围布置，以保障安静与独立。由此形成的空间层次，使开放与私密之间达到恰当平衡。在海岸不断变化的光影映照下，这座住宅呈现出兼具诗性与理性的空间气质，将精细工艺转化为可被日常感知的居住体验。

The spatial layout of the residence is centered around a central courtyard, clearly dividing public areas from private spaces. The courtyard serves as a transitional node between indoors and outdoors, and also serves as the core area for family communication; the bedrooms are arranged along the periphery to ensure tranquility and independence. This resulting spatial hierarchy achieves an appropriate balance between openness and privacy. Under the constantly changing light and shadow of the coast, this residence exhibits a spatial temperament that combines poetic and rational elements, transforming meticulous craftsmanship into a daily-perceptible living experience.
