Architecture is a vessel for light; space is the setting in which life unfolds.
In this project, the design seeks to reorganize the structural relationships within the living space through architectural means. By partially opening up the floor slabs to create double-height spaces, the design establishes vertical connections between areas that were previously separated by horizontal floor slabs. Natural light enters from above, gradually descending through the different levels to permeate the entire spatial system, creating subtle yet rich variations in light and shadow throughout the day.
Looking up from the ground floor, the line of sight extends naturally along the double-height structure, creating a continuous spatial relationship between the different floors. The spaces are no longer merely stacked on top of one another; instead, they establish a more dynamic layering within the vertical dimension, allowing residents to experience a sense of openness and order derived from the building’s scale in their daily lives.
In line with the homeowners’ lifestyle preferences, the design places the living room, kitchen, and dining area together on the lower level. This layout allows the homeowners to move directly from the garage into the home’s central communal living space, creating a more natural and seamless flow.
At the same time, the open-plan floor design allows natural light from the ground floor to filter down into the basement, ensuring that the underground space receives ample, soft natural light during the day and transforming the traditional experience of underground spaces—which are typically enclosed and reliant on artificial lighting.
In terms of spatial organization, the building’s volume gradually forms a clear vertical hierarchy: the ground floor serves as the core area for family interaction, featuring an open layout that accommodates daily life; the middle floor houses activity areas and guest rooms, with relatively light-weight volumes embedded within it to serve as transitional nodes connecting the upper and lower spaces; the top floor accommodates the master and secondary bedrooms, allowing the space to gradually return to a state of tranquility and privacy.

The overall design minimizes the use of decorative elements, allowing structure, proportion, and light to serve as the primary means of spatial expression. Soft furnishings are used only as subtle accents, ensuring that the architecture itself remains restrained and pure.
Here, a home is no longer merely a container filled with furnishings, but rather a micro-architecture that is constantly brought to life by the rhythms of daily living. As light, air, and human activity flow gently through it, the space reveals a more authentic and enduring vitality over time.

You probably guessed it—see it and understand it.
So, what is Again and Again? Again and Again is an old friend. Placing see in reverse signifies communication— it also embodies the unique nature of longing to swim against the current.
Matrix, matrix. Design is subtractive manufacturing.
God drew the perfect circle, Prometheus created the perfect vertical. The rectangle is the foundational language of creation, Matrix rules arrange, Rigorous yet rebellious.
Thus, what else is there to see
Flexibility and adaptability lead to freedom. One of the most compelling aspects of spatial design lies in its ever-changing spatial planning and layout, and the signature geometry will adhere to this principle.
