Harris住宅由Hunt Architecture建筑事务所主持改造，其前身是1938年落成的法式折衷主义住宅，坐落于美国得克萨斯州奥斯汀市。该建筑诞生于两次世界大战之间，彼时法式城堡风格在美国成为理想住宅的经典象征。这栋总面积约390平方米的两层住宅迎来新的家庭居住者，也在尊重历史风貌的基础上，开启了一场融合传统与当代的空间更新。

The Harris residence was renovated by Hunt Architecture. Its predecessor was a French eclectic-style house built in 1938 and is located in Austin, Texas, USA. This building was born between the two World Wars, when the French chateau style became a classic symbol of ideal residences in the United States. This two-story residence, with a total area of approximately 390 square meters, welcomed new family occupants and, while respecting the historical style, initiated a space renewal that combined tradition with modernity.

项目改造严格保留了建筑原有结构与空间尺度比例，设计负责人布列塔尼·亨特（Brittany Hunt）表示，本次改造的核心，是在历史建筑尺度与现代设计细节之间寻求平衡。设计团队对原始窗框、实木地板与部分精致线脚进行了细致修复与保留，让建筑的历史质感得以完整延续；同时通过材料更新与节点优化，注入简洁克制、精致内敛的当代设计语言。

The project renovation strictly maintained the original structure and spatial scale ratio of the building. Brittany Hunt, the design director, stated that the core of this renovation was to strike a balance between the scale of the historical building and the details of modern design. The design team meticulously restored and retained the original window frames, solid wood floors, and some exquisite moldings, allowing the historical texture of the building to be fully preserved; at the same time, through material updates and node optimization, a contemporary design language of simplicity, restraint, and elegance was injected.

室内空间延续了经典的功能分区布局，一层包含起居室、酒吧区、会客厅、书房、厨房与餐厅；二层规划有四间卧室与三间浴室，主卧外接观景露台，进一步强化了私密空间与自然环境的互动。整体空间以柔和中性色调为基底，搭配石材肌理与定制柜体的细腻层次，塑造出开放通透、衔接流畅的空间氛围。家具陈设则将法式古典韵味与北欧现代风格相融，在巴黎式优雅与哥本哈根式简约之间达成平衡，让空间既承载历史底蕴，又完美适配当代家庭的日常使用需求。

The interior space continues the classic functional zoning layout. The first floor includes the living room, bar area, reception room, study, kitchen and dining area. The second floor is planned with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The master bedroom has an outdoor viewing terrace, further enhancing the interaction between the private space and the natural environment. The overall space is based on soft neutral tones, combined with stone texture and the delicate layers of custom cabinets, creating an open and seamless spatial atmosphere. The furniture arrangement integrates the classical charm of French style with the modern style of Nordic, achieving a balance between Parisian elegance and Copenhagen simplicity, allowing the space to not only carry historical底蕴 but also perfectly meet the daily usage needs of contemporary families.
