In the suburbs of Paris, a mansion from the Belle Époque era of the 19th century has regained its former glory. Designer Sara Mengesha, who has lived and worked between London and Dubai for many years, has now chosen to settle down in France with her family, transforming this historical building into a private residence that combines the classical French style with contemporary Nordic aesthetics.

建筑完整保留高挑天花、精致线脚与对称立面等时代特征，石膏装饰与比例优雅的门窗构成鲜明的法式气质。室内空间铺陈于柔和米色与灰调之中，天然木材、亚麻织物和手工陶器层层交织，营造出克制而温润的生活氛围。高窗引入充沛天光，细腻纹理在光影中缓缓展开，历史细节与当代家具在同一语境中相互映衬。

The building has completely retained the era-specific features such as the high ceilings, exquisite moldings and symmetrical facades. The plaster decorations and the proportionally elegant doors and windows create a distinct French atmosphere. The interior space is laid out in soft beige and gray tones, with natural wood, linen fabrics and handcrafted pottery interwoven layer upon layer, creating a restrained and warm living atmosphere. The high windows allow in abundant natural light, and the fine textures gradually unfold in the light and shadow. The historical details and contemporary furniture complement each other in the same context.

厨房成为全宅最具标识性的空间。瑞典品牌诺迪斯卡·库克（Nordiska Kök）量身打造的橱柜以拱形元素界定区域，卡拉拉大理石台面与中央岛台组织出清晰流畅的使用路径，金属五金在自然光下泛出低调光泽。橡木柜体呈现北欧工艺的纯净质感，与原有法式石膏装饰形成细腻呼应。

The kitchen has become the most distinctive space in the entire house. The custom cabinets designed by the Swedish brand Nordiska Kök are defined by arched elements, while the Carrara marble countertop and the central island work together to create a clear and smooth usage path. The metal hardware emits a subtle luster under natural light. The oak cabinet body presents the pure texture characteristic of Nordic craftsmanship, creating a delicate contrast with the original French plaster decoration.

起居区陈列精选中古家具与当代设计单品，织物叠搭丰富层次，色彩保持节制，强调触感与比例关系。卧室延续柔软基调，亚麻床品与手作灯具带来安静松弛的气息。整座宅邸在历史沉淀与当代生活之间建立起平衡秩序，呈现萨拉对跨文化审美的敏锐理解。

The living area showcases selected vintage furniture and contemporary design items. The fabrics are layered to create rich textures, with restrained colors, emphasizing touch and proportion. The bedroom maintains a soft tone, with linen bedding and handmade lamps bringing a calm and relaxed atmosphere. The entire mansion establishes a balance between historical heritage and contemporary life, presenting Sarahs acute understanding of cross-cultural aesthetics.
