RPA19 是由柏林设计工作室 VAUST 打造的一处极简住宅，面积约 200 平方米。项目的设计逻辑源于 VAUST 的理解：真正的创新并非源自激烈的断裂，而在于微妙的再校准。设计师通过材料的叠加与转化，使空间在“记忆”与“可能性”之间形成张力。自然石膏以温润的土色包裹室内，随光线变化而产生呼吸般的流动感；修复后的踢脚线与楼梯扶手，则作为低调的锚点，延续建筑原有的历史语境。这种层叠如同“重写的手稿”(palimpsest)，每一层新的介入都揭示，而非掩盖过去的痕迹。

RPA19 is a minimalist residence with an area of approximately 200 square meters, designed by the Berlin-based design studio VAUST. The design logic of the project stems from VAUSTs understanding: True innovation does not come from intense breaks, but from subtle recalibration. Through the superposition and transformation of materials, the designer creates a tension between "memory" and "possibility" in the space. The natural gypsum wraps the interior in a warm earthy color, creating a flowing sensation like breathing as the light changes. The restored skirting boards and stair railings serve as low-key anchor points, continuing the original historical context of the building. This layering is like a "palimpsest", with each new layer revealing rather than concealing the traces of the past.

厨房岛台是这一理念的集中体现。岛台自木质底座升起，如同一座现代主义祭坛，其拉丝不锈钢台面凭借材质的自信，呈现出似乎悬浮的视觉效果。这种“漂浮”感呼应了当代艺术与设计中的广泛兴趣，从唐纳德·贾德 (Donald Judd) 的壁挂方盒，到悬而不支的灯具，都强调了物体在空间中轻盈存在的可能性。然而在此处，这种悬浮感并不属于冷峻的展陈，而是被安置于日常生活的核心——围绕食物的家庭聚合。

The kitchen island counter is a concentrated embodiment of this concept. The island platform rises from a wooden base, resembling a modernist altar. Its brushed stainless steel countertop, with the confidence of its material, presents a seemingly suspended visual effect. This "floating" feeling echoes the wide range of interests in contemporary art and design, from Donald Judds wall-mounted square boxes to suspended lamps, all emphasizing the possibility of objects existing lightly in space. However, here, this sense of suspension does not belong to the cold and stern exhibition, but is placed at the core of daily life - the family gathering around food.

VAUST 的材料语言以“克制”见长。钢与榆木的并置被称为“平静的张力”(calm tension)，通过比例与位置的精准处理，使对立的质感达到和谐。厨房中内嵌的水槽壁龛，犹如从整体体块中“减去”而形成的极简洞穴，证明了减法同样可以制造空间的戏剧性。家具的选择延续了这一逻辑：LS Gomma 的 RM 椅 (RM Chair by LS Gomma)、Aleksander Oniszh 的涂鸦凳 (Doodle Stool by Aleksander Oniszh)，以雕塑般的存在点缀空间；而高秀英 (Kazuhide Takahama) 的复古座椅，则显示出设计师在策展上的眼光，将“材料的诚实”与“功能的诗意”融入家居日常。

VAUSTs material language is known for its "restraint". The juxtapositions of steel and elm wood are called "calm tension". Through the precise handling of proportion and position, the opposing textures achieve harmony. The sink niche embedded in the kitchen is like a minimalist cave formed by "subtracting" from the overall volume, proving that subtraction can also create drama in the space. The choice of furniture follows this logic: The RM Chair by LS Gomma and the Doodle Stool by Aleksander Oniszh embellish the space with a sculptural presence; Kazuhide Takahamas vintage chairs, on the other hand, demonstrate the designers vision in curation, integrating "the honesty of materials" and "the poetry of functionality" into daily home life.

在细部上，定制走廊衣柜的手工把手带有 VAUST 自身的指纹印记，展现了由量产回归工艺的趋势。这不仅是一种怀旧姿态，而是顺应当下文化对于真实性与在地生产的重视，借由手工技艺的独特性推动设计的前行。

In terms of details, the handcrafted handles of the custom corridor wardrobe bear the fingerprint marks of VAUST itself, demonstrating a trend of returning from mass production to craftsmanship. This is not merely a nostalgic gesture, but rather a response to the current cultural emphasis on authenticity and local production, promoting the advancement of design through the uniqueness of handcrafting skills.
