Elwood Residence is located in a historic community in Melbourne, Australia, and its original architecture reflects the unique charm of a traditional Australian home. Flack Studio has retained the historical character of the building in its design, while giving it a new lease of life through a modern renovation. With respect for the original structure, the studio shows a keen sense of history in the details, combining classic elements with contemporary design language.

The design of the house is imbued with Flack Studios usual sense of drama and balance. The use of bold and sophisticated colors, soft neutral tones and rich dark colors match to add a rich sense of layer to the space. In terms of materials, the designers selected natural stone, warm wood and custom metal details to create both tactile and visual enjoyment.

The interior design of Elwood Residence focuses on the lifestyle of the residents, focusing on the dual needs of functional and emotional connection. The open plan living and kitchen areas are cleverly arranged to achieve a smooth flow of movement, suitable for family daily life and social gatherings. While private Spaces emphasize tranquility and comfort, bedrooms and bathrooms are designed with a minimalist elegance that creates an atmosphere of relaxation and healing.
