The Belgravia Townhouse in Londons Eaton Square is a Georgian home that has been completely transformed by Child Studio, and perfectly embodies the elegant blend of fashion and European modernism. Inspired by the owners collection of art, sculpture and books, this four-bedroom, three-story residence blends functionality with artistry, and every inch of space reflects the owners love of art and culture.

这栋联排别墅的焦点是一间高达五米的双层图书馆。设计灵感来自卡尔·拉格斐（Karl Lagerfeld）巴黎工作室的标志性书房，桃花心木的搁板和精致的珠饰细节，在宽敞的比例中增添了温暖和精致。图书馆的设计不仅展现了主人的藏书爱好，也重新定义了住宅空间的高度与深度。连接起居室与屋顶露台的铸铁螺旋楼梯，更赋予这一空间一种怀旧复古的浪漫。

The focal point of the townhouse is a two-storey library that rises to five metres. The design is inspired by the iconic study in Karl Lagerfelds Paris studio, with mahogany shelving and delicate beaded details that add warmth and sophistication to the spacious proportions. The design of the library not only shows the owners love of collecting books, but also redefines the height and depth of the residential space. The cast iron spiral staircase that connects the living room to the roof terrace gives the space a retro romantic feel.

Child Studio 将传统工艺与现代设计融为一体，选择了桃花心木、大理石和石膏等天然材料，为整座住宅营造出低调奢华的氛围。在起居区，设计师定制了一款弧形木背沙发，与Walter Gropius设计的包豪斯扶手椅和Charlotte Perriand为 Cassina 打造的 Berger 凳子完美呼应。这些家具不仅体现了现代主义设计的精髓，也突显了对细节和工艺的高度追求。

Combining traditional craftsmanship with modern design, Child Studio chose natural materials such as mahogany, marble and plaster to create an understated luxury atmosphere throughout the home. In the living area, a curved wood-backed sofa was created to complement the Bauhaus armchair by Walter Gropius and the Berger stool by Charlotte Perriand for Cassina. The furniture not only embodies the essence of modernist design, but also highlights the high level of attention to detail and craftsmanship.

从每个房间的细节中，可以看出设计师对20世纪现代主义建筑的致敬。在主浴室中，梳妆台和浴缸采用单块 Verde Guatemala 大理石雕刻而成，灵感源自葡萄牙波尔图的 Villa Serralves，而意大利大理石工坊的工艺更是让这一设计达到了艺术的高度。同样地，休息室的木质镶板设计参考了米兰 Villa Necchi 的复杂木工技术，呈现出装饰艺术的流畅线条与奢华感。

The designers homage to 20th century modernist architecture can be seen in the details of each room. In the master bathroom, the vanity and bathtub are carved from a single piece of Verde Guatemala marble, inspired by the Villa Serralves in Porto, Portugal, and brought to an artistic level by the craftsmanship of the Italian marble workshop. Similarly, the wood paneling design of the lounge is a reference to the sophisticated woodworking techniques of Villa Necchi in Milan, presenting the smooth lines and luxury of Art Deco.

Every detail of the house is imbued with sophisticated material choices and pastel color combinations. The master bedroom features tobacco-toned mahogany paneling with caramelized mohair upholstered by Pierre Frey; The guest bedroom is bold choice of emerald green velvet wallpaper, giving the space vitality and interest. This design approach, which responds to each other through materials and colors, not only reflects the owners taste, but also gives the house a personalized warmth.
