Located in Madrid, Spain, the ROSALES house was designed by OOAA Architects to showcase their minimalist aesthetic and elegant handling of space. Set in Madrids famous Rosales neighborhood, the project combines the language of modern architecture with the traditional architecture of the region to create a quiet, balanced and artistic living space.

The core of the design is the simplicity and functionality of the space. The OOAA team specialises in achieving a pure, calm spatial experience by reducing excess decoration and highlighting the structure and materials of the building itself. For this project, the architects chose neutral tones of natural materials such as stone, wood and large areas of glass to allow light to flow freely and enhance the transparency of the space.

The project emphasizes dialogue with the surrounding environment. The outward-facing facade is designed with a simple yet contemporary feel, incorporating the historic atmosphere of the neighborhood. Large Windows not only bring natural light into the interior, but also provide residents with beautiful views of the city. The layout of the interior also follows the concept of simplicity, creating a delicate balance between open living Spaces and private resting areas, each of which is fluid and functional.
