Jesse Rudolph and Joelle Kutner of Ome Dezin Design studio have recently completed a dramatic residential renovation that brings a classic 1970s ranch-style home in Brentwood, Los Angeles, into the 21st century. This 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath home sits above a valley and occupies a large plot of land with stunning views of the city and the Santa Susana Mountains. The renovation not only preserves the original structural integrity of the building, but also gives it a peaceful and modern living atmosphere.

设计师的改造理念是最大化住宅的宜居性和光线，打造一个舒适的家庭空间。住宅围绕中心的游泳池展开，周围是郁郁葱葱的绿植，完美呈现了世纪中叶风格中室内外生活的融合。材料的选择进一步增强了这种连接感，设计团队采用白橡木和各种 Ceppo 大理石，注重自然质感的表达，同时在浴室中大胆使用色彩饱和的瓷砖，为空间增添了活力。

The concept of the renovation was to maximize the livability and light of the house, creating a comfortable home space. Built around a central swimming pool and surrounded by lush greenery, the house is a perfect blend of indoor and outdoor living in a mid-century style. The choice of materials further enhances this sense of connection, with white oak and a variety of Ceppo marbles being used by the design team to focus on the expression of natural textures, while the bold use of colour-saturated tiles in the bathroom adds vitality to the space.
