Apartment Leblon II in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is an elaborate minimalist apartment designed by architects Felipe Hess, Lucas Miilher and Pedro Petry. The interior was designed by Felipe Hess and Patricia Sturm. At the heart of the project is the transformation of an otherwise closed, outdated layout into an open, modern living space designed to fully embrace the unique advantages of the coastal environment.

By removing the interior walls, the design team broke down the original sense of isolation, creating a more fluid and coherent layout. The introduction of large Windows not only allows a large amount of natural light to flood into the interior, but also forms a closer connection between the apartment and the outside environment, maximizing the ventilation effect and creating a spacious and bright living atmosphere.

The design of the entire space is based on natural materials and a pastel palette of tones, intended to create a calm and comfortable living environment that perfectly echoes the beach view outside. These design choices reflect a simple yet warm style, allowing residents to feel the peace of nature in comfort.

After a year of meticulous renovation, the close collaboration between the design team and the client ensured that every detail accurately reflected the clients vision. As a result, Apartment Leblon II is a functional and aesthetic contemporary residence that blends perfectly into its coastal setting, demonstrating a minimalist design that works in harmony with nature.
