Faulkner Architects is a California-based architectural design studio founded in 1999 by founder Greg Faulkner. The studio wanted to integrate exquisite craftsmanship and unique design concepts into the ideal building, and at the same time, they paid great attention to the interaction and communication with customers, builders and suppliers during the project process.

The Red Rock House is located in the Las Vegas Valley, which has a variety of extreme climates, with cold, dry winters and sweltering summers. The purpose of the building is to develop around the challenging site environment, climatic conditions and to provide as unique a living experience as possible for the users. Faulkner Architects skillfully blends desert terrain with urban luxury elements, providing a visual contrast while providing relaxing indoor and outdoor living.

The building is like a hard, immovable object made up of several huge volumes. A metal box sits in an unexpected form on a heavy concrete base, a translation of Greg Faulkners image of layered iron ore found in the geology of the Las Vegas Valley and Red Rock Canyon. The concrete walls on the ground floor, using local crushed stone, sand and gravel, are in harmony with the surrounding mountains, along with the various shades of the cladding of the upper steel structure.
