The renovation began with the clearing of three main areas on the facade, which now form an open and flowing spatial layout. The entrance hall, kitchen, living room and viewing area are interconnected to form a spacious and comfortable common area. Inside, the bedrooms and utility areas open onto the inner courtyard, where mustard lime mortar walls add warmth and light to private Spaces.

In terms of materials and aesthetics, the project perfectly blends historical elements with modern elements. Original architectural features, such as doors, Windows and lines, have been carefully restored to present a subtle earthy white tone. The entire floor is laid in large Douglas pine boards and painted with matte varnish to create a natural understated elegance. In stark contrast, the coral-red marble sink in the fixtures and the kitchen unit made of a combination of stainless steel and chestnut wood add a durable yet stylish touch to the home.

The master suite offers a restful retreat with its luxurious bathtub and shower area by the window.

In terms of decoration, important modern design furniture and lighting are interspersed, adding a modern sophistication to the house. Plante is an architectural studio founded in 2012 by Lorenzo and Luis Gil. Founded in Madrid, it focuses on small and medium-sized enterprises. Small developments, commercial buildings, hotels and family homes in Madrid and other cities in Spain, Germany or Mexico, as well as renovations of residential buildings, complete renovations of houses, restaurants, cafes, shops and offices. The studio has received significant recognition and its work has been published in numerous national and international media. The project is characterized by careful treatment of materials, structure and detail. Innovation, in turn, is rooted in classical and traditional architecture and is based on research, technical expertise and dialogue with customers, consultants and builders.
