Lytton Park Residence is a renovation project for an old villa, and Collab Design Studio has revitalized it by integrating a contemporary and familiar warm atmosphere, inspired by the surrounding scenery of the original residence.

Justine Golden, an interior designer at Collab Design Studio, wanted to ensure that key elements of the original structure would permeate the new interpretation of the home. Since this space was once my home, it gave me a blank sheet of paper to draw on, and I preserved the fluid layout of the house to respect the harmonious feeling it has. Adding organic elements by curving walls and opening arches brings a sense of fluidity to the space and enhances the overall aesthetic, she said.

Renovating the entire residence was a massive undertaking, but the motivation behind it was to make these Spaces feel relaxed, welcoming and immersive. Justine mixes and matches vintage and modern furniture, adding richness and depth to each space in the process.

Material selection plays a key role in the tonality setting of the home. Between natural and textured finishes, neutral and soft tones blend with each other, emphasizing comfort and softness, making the home both warm and noble.

Adding some traditional decorations, such as Taj Mahal natural stone, can give new pieces a more timeless feel. Velvet, chiffon and loop fabric work together to add layer and warmth. Justine described. Together with our choice of stone, this distinctive berry color accentuates the space and integrates with the herring-patterned wood flooring to create a more layered and eclectic look.

I think the most unique thing about this house is its variability, Justine says. Justine said, The dining room/living room is an incredible space with two tables at each end that can accommodate 20 people. The dining table is detachable and the whole room can be turned into a cocktail party suitable for a more relaxed atmosphere.

By using existing elements as a foundation, new Spaces are formed instantly around the structure, softening the movement between different areas. By turning the existing columns into curved walls, flexibility was incorporated into the planning, allowing the house to be open to interpretation and change of function.

Lytton Park Residence既可以满足休息也可以满足社交需求，能够根据用途变化。Justine确保该住宅深刻反映了她的生活方式并传达出现代生活的宜居性。

The Lytton Park Residence can cater for both rest and social needs, and can vary according to its use. Justine ensured that the house deeply reflected her lifestyle and conveyed the livability of modern living.

Nothing is too precious. Justine said: The house proved to be exactly what we wanted it to be - a place for our children to gather with their friends and feel at home, as well as a space for us to have fun. First of all, its a family home. I wanted it to feel fun and sophisticated, not out of reach.
