Labotory是一家来自韩国的顶尖设计团队,“LABOTORY”是一个专属的复合名词,由“laboratory(实验室)”和“story(故事)”组成。正如其名,LABOTORY认为每个空间都有他的故事,而实验室则是他们在空间中探索故事性的实现场所,并将其用空间语言表达出来,让人得以体验。

Roughside is a brand that possesses a dual nature, showcasing both the raw textures of the past and the contemporary sensibilities of the modern era as two facets of its identity. To embody these characteristics of the brand, the Labotory design team employed a concept of weaving material, which entails the interlacing of warp and weft threads. The design visualizes Roughsides identity through the interweaving and intertwining of structure, furniture, and finishing materials, encompassing both the exterior architecture and the interior spaces and furnishings.

The first brick-and-mortar store of Roughside is located in Hannam-dong. This area is known for its unique geographical features and is a melting pot of diverse cultures. The team has put effort into understanding the tastes and preferences of the customers visiting the store, and has created an interior layout and programming that aims to entice and satisfy them.

Roughside imagines a progression where the warmth of the past gradually seeps in. This imagination is also reflected in Roughsides clothing. The combination of rough yet delicate textures, and the blend of past and present, are key elements in defining the direction that Roughside aims to pursue.

PSR是Personal Shopper Room名称的缩写。它是顶级贵宾的购物场所,百货商店已经成为他们的日常生活方式。更重要的是,我们希望它能成为一个感受超越服务质量的非凡体验的地方。
PSR is an abbreviation for the name Personal Shopper Room. As it is a place of shopping for the top- tier of the VIPs, department stores are already a daily way of life for them. All the more, we hoped it to be a place to feel the extraordinary experience of exceeding quality of services.
为了做到这一点,改变现有空间的僵化观念和陈旧形象、功能方向,以及奢侈品的稀缺价值得以呈现以展示PSR的所有服务和文化。
In order to do so, the indurated notion and stale images of the other existing departments, the altering of the department’s directions and the scarcity value of luxury products should be able to indulge all of the services and cultures of the new PSR.
