Today, a salon is much more than space to sit and transform the hair on our head, it’s about a metamorphic journey in energy, style and senses, a precious moment in time to reset, recharge and ready for what’s next.

Hairdresser of 25 years, Founder/Owner Renee XXX has spent the last decade dreaming up her ideal space – a home to hero hair design and inspired moments of self-care, creativity and human connection. Today, a salon is much more than space to sit and transform the hair on our head, it’s about a metamorphic journey in energy, style and senses, a precious moment in time to reset, recharge and ready for what’s next. “The contemporary masseria captures the charm of an original Puglian Farmhouse with whitewashed walls and puristic architecture with luxury finishes … an interior journey inspired by my time in the south eastern tip of Italy,” says Renee.

At home amongst its luxury fashion neighbours, with its own unique visual identity, Holism combines colour, texture and form - a layered canvas of muted, desert hues enlivened with arched thresholds and mirrors, sculptural pink granite, curved walls and soft, recessed lighting.

Embracing the desk, a gently curving wall is layered with stone and glossy timber shelves atop brass rods, providing space for curated retail display.

Brass accents have been used throughout to encourage seamless experience of nine treatment rooms, a LED light therapy treatment lounge, yoga studio, private consultation suite and guest amenities.

A stirring sense of nostalgia

Expressing an Australian innate connection to water, Aesop Paddington draws on familiar references to the art of swimming through an organic and textural approach. Clare Cousins Architectscreate an inviting and immersive experience aimed to stir memories of rousing nostalgia and a sense of identity through place.

Located in inner Sydney, the same-named Aesop Paddington sits comfortably close to the ocean, while not directly upon it. As an expressed statement about the connectedness of life in Sydney and an affiliation with the water, the retail experience is inspired by a stirring of memories through form and finish and aims to immerse the visitor through sensory cues.

The mix is both reminiscent and synonymous of the suburban inground pool condition while also combining references to the rugged cliff walks famous in the area.
