Going back to basics, Darling Point strips an existing but idyllic home, then layers it with texture and warmth to create the ideal calm escape. Phoebe Nicole interior architecture references Belgian restraint in constructing the final home, where a minimal and tonal celebration of light and collected treasures comes into focus.

Starting with the open-plan living space at the heart of the home, light is a focal point throughout, ensuring that the surrounding natural elements become a key part of the residential experience. The overall lightness of the palette and materials used throughout further enhances the interior’s sense of volume, while also inserting surfaces that allow light to interact with it throughout the day. Looking to Europe for inspiration, the sensibility of Belgium, the new space was conceived through a layered and textured approach. Dark wood tones comfortably complement softer compositions, with linen and symmetry very evident.

Located in the eponymous Sydney suburb, Darling Point reconfigures an existing residence into a welcoming home. As a reflection of the owners, the space needed to embody refined and refined elegance through mature and thoughtful details and inserts.

An overall minimal approach ensures that each newly sculpted space feels connected, while also feeling consistently calm and acting as a natural extension of each other.

Located on the top floor of an existing apartment building, the homes openness allows for better connection to its surroundings and enviable interior views. As a combination of style and personality, the owner wanted to immerse himself in a masculine home that reflects his own connection to his surroundings, but also to the location.

The new space reflects an appreciation for collectibles and pieces with a storied history, through the curation of antiques and new works, all while connecting with the core commonalities of raw and honest materiality.
