Studio Schicketanz has completed a grassy coastal home for a silicon Valley client, with a facade that respects the sites natural topography and maintains a quiet and simple structural form. Taking into account the climate of the Pacific Ocean and the surrounding mountain environment, the studio decided to create a building that would melt into the hillside after repeated deliberation and analysis.

Tehama House 2

Located on the coast of Carmel, California, Tehama House 2 is part of Schicketanzs career of holistic research into the harmony between landscape, building materials, form and environment. Following Tehama House 1, he redesigned this rustic and modern residence. The courtyards are enclosed by smooth geometric cubes, allowing natural views of the mountains to be juxtaposed with carefully thought-out details.

Schicketanz designed a beach house for a couple in California, where the surrounding landscape and central courtyard gave the studio the opportunity to explore the integration of architecture and ecology. Interior and exterior flow seamlessly through the simplest of doorways and walls. Inside, neutral hues complement the couples art collection and trendy luxury details, such as an antique dresser and a sleek circular bathtub, presenting a pictorial feel for natural aesthetics.

Scenic Drive Residence

Studio Schicketanz redesigned the entire waterfront facade of the house without adding acreage, making it a long-standing passion and expectation for the natural beauty of the area. At the same time, the roof terrace is designed to maximise the views. Capacious master flatlet used the form that open mode daily life and bedroom photograph are united in wedlock, more press close to the actual need of owner life.
