Roku-kyoto Resort, north of Kyoto, Japan, was designed by Blink, a Bangkok-based Design firm. It is home to many of Japans most prestigious temples. The spirit of the artisans and religious elements give the hotel its unique charm. Inspired by the swaying bamboo in the wind, the building of a vivid scene creates an intimate connection between the guests and nature.

With the charm and sophistication of old Kyoto, the Roku-Kyoto Resort encompasses 114 rooms and suites, as well as public amenities such as a restaurant and spa. Through the connection between local culture and nature, the hotel tries to redefine itself, spreading out the spiritual journey from the lobby tea break, quietly brewing tea, and subtly generating a change of heart.

Throughout the hotel, the interior is designed to complement the natural setting of the site, thanks to the warm earthy tones inspired by traditional Japanese colours.

Standard rooms and suites range in size from 50 to 110 square meters, with comfortable sofa beds and open concept tubs, allowing guests to experience the “ofuro” culture of traditional Kyoto.
