We are usually required to have a complete living space, so we will configure the complete volume in the base, and then leave the empty space
like leftovers. After waiting for completion, the designed complete living space often returns to a state of chaos due to daily life, but residents can still live happily in it. The basic need for complete space seems to be an issue worthy of scrutiny. Peoples lives may not need to be so closed and complete, and open and spacious spaces may also be fine.

On the contrary, people are always attached to some kind of imagination roaming in the natural world, eager to return to nature in a certain frame. Such associations mainly come from the personal favorite yearning for nature.

望着这些庭院阅读、饮食、睡眠;
The Moriyama House designed by Ryue Nishizawa attempts to reverse the open space/courtyard into a complete shape through the op
eration method of exchanging the virtual and the real/inverting the inside and outside, and becomes the core of the living space. The daily lives of people who tend to be chaotic are contained within the framework of these inner courtyards. Looking at these gardens, reading, eating, sleeping; bathing, thinking, and breathing in these gardens. This is a proposal for future living with a focus on nature.

People have high requirements on buildings: they expect buildings to stand tall to protect
themselves from wind and rain; they expect them to enjoy comfort in buildings; they expect buildings to provide clear water for people to drink; they expect buildings to provide fresh air for People breathe; buildings are expected to handle trash and power everything, including tools and ovens; buildings are more expected to connect humans to the outside world through doors, windows, telephones, mailboxes; people expect Buildings are easy to get in and out of; people also expect the maintenance costs to be spent on buildings to be inexpensive.

After deliberately blurring the boundaries between privacy and publicity, human interaction has been expanded. Encouraging interaction with the outside world in the residential space does not really disturb the places where privacy is really needed in the act of living. On the contrary, due to the increase of human
interaction, each other can respect and self-control in the use of space, forming an invisible sense of domain and meeting the need for privacy protection. At the same time, after the physical boundary is broken, the residential landscape will be integrated with the urban landscape, and the urban landscape will also be diverse and beautiful. These are the additional and richer benefits of the idea of breaking privacy.

Ryue Nishizawa
