Design derives from life, so we extract emotional design inspiration and use rational design techniques to start every design from scratch, breaking inertial design thinking and making people have different experience and joy in every different space.

项目位于汕头市龙湖区新溪镇中三河村。基地位于新溪镇中心，新溪镇是一个直径500米的繁忙生活圈，由市场、学校和医院组成，完全保留了传统小镇的特色。

The project is located in Zhongsanhe Village, Xinxi Town, Longhu District, Shantou. The site is situated in the center of Xinxi Town, a 500m-diameter busy life circle which consists of markets, schools and hospitals and completely retains the features of the traditional town.

近年来，“地标”一词盛行，城市中出现了100米以上的高层建筑。这种趋势在今天的农村建设中也可以看到。中三河村居民倾向于建造6.5层的建筑，尽可能接近国家规定的自建农村住宅的最大高度。

The word “landmark” has been prevailing in recent years, leading to a boom of high-rise buildings over 100 meters in cities. This trend can be also seen in todays rural construction. Residents in Zhongsanhe Village are apt to build 6.5-floor buildings, to approximate the maximum height of self-built rural houses stipulated by national regulations as much as possible.

这些新农村建筑一起创造了一个平滑、水平的天际线，旧房子夹在中间。这种已建成的环境是农村建设中复制和秩序的结果，在一定程度上反映了权力和财富。然而，村里目前的生活方式并没有改变多少，笑声仍然充斥着社区。总设计师谢培和认为，这里的生活方式是赏心悦目的，是可以延续的。

Those new rural constructions together create a smooth, level skyline, with old houses wedged in between. Such built environment is caused by replications and order in rural construction, and indicates power and wealth to some extent. However, the current lifestyle in the village hasn’t changed a lot and laughter still fills the community. The chief designer Xie Peihe holds that the lifestyle here is pleasing and can be continued.

中国现在的村镇建设，有一种盲目服从秩序和趋势的倾向。许多农村居民没有考虑到自己的个性化需求，而是在邻居之后建造房屋。因此，在中三河村，无美感、千篇一律的“盒子状”建筑不断蔓延。幸运的是，邻里之间仍然保持着亲密的关系。

Constructions in todays town villages in China tend to blindly follow order and trends. Many rural residents construct houses after their neighbors, with no consideration of their personalized needs. For this reason, unaesthetic and uniform “box-like” buildings are sprawling in Zhongsanhe Village. Fortunately, an intimate relationship is still kept between residents in the neighborhood.

设计师谢培河是新溪镇的居民，他的设计意图是挑战现有的建筑秩序，探索连接现在和未来的新可能性。对他来说，打破和重新定义秩序是一场革命，同时保持人、人与建筑之间的亲密关系。这与AD ARCHITECTURE追求创新与和谐的承诺是一致的。

The chief designer Xie Peihe, as a native of Xinxi Town, intended to challenge the established architectural order and to explore the new possibilities of connecting the present and the future. For him, breaking and redefining the order is to make a revolution whilst retaining the intimate relationship between people, people and architecture. This is in line with the AD ARCHITECTURE’s commitment to pursuing innovation and harmony.

场地周围的房屋以相同的盒子形状有序地组织起来。新旧房屋的融合，就像无数的像素，有规律地，但又杂乱地塑造着城镇边缘的建筑结构。

With an identically box-like shape, houses surrounding the site are organized in an orderly manner. The fusion of new and old houses, which are like numerous pixels, shapes the built fabric at the edge of the town regularly, yet disorderly.

场地东侧靠近邻房外墙，北、西两侧距离邻房仅90厘米和30厘米。此外，它的北面有一条12米宽的主干道，南面有一条4米宽的道路。

The east side of the site is close to the external wall of the neighboring house, and its north and west sides are only 90cm and 30cm away from the neighbors. In addition, there is a 12-meter-wide main road on its north, and a 4-meter-wide road on the south.
