SEASIDE RETREAT

Stef Claes designed a summer apartment in Switzerland for a family in the Belgian coastal town of Knokke, close to the Dutch border.

The brown-red birch brings enthusiasm and modernity to the space. Minimalism interprets the simplicity of the Middle Ages, creating smoothness and warmth in summer nights and winter.

厨房是这里生活气息最浓郁的一角之一，舒适的用餐角落设有名家设计的郁金香餐桌。木质百叶窗，提供隐私的同时又能将海滨和自然保护区的美景涵盖其中。

The kitchen is one of the corners with the strongest atmosphere of life here, and the cozy dining corner has a designer tulip dining table. Wooden shutters provide privacy while covering the beauty of the seaside and nature reserve.

Brussels apartment

This compact apartment is located in the heart of Brussels, Belgium. The designer cleverly blended the owners oriental roots with the European background of the residence, combined the decorative elements of classical architecture with minimalist details, and achieved this structured and unpretentious space.

厨房和餐厅的设计简洁而丰富，极简的线条将空间动线诠释的十分清晰明了。

The design of the kitchen and dining room is simple and rich, and the minimalist lines clearly interpret the movement of the space.

The bedroom is presented in a low-key and introverted posture, rather than pursuing the appearance of publicity.

The Fields house

The project is a small house in Belgium. Through the large glass windows connecting the indoor and outdoor spaces, the surrounding landscape is purposefully used to build it into a field home with the rustic charm of a Belgian farmhouse.

设计师借鉴了中世纪的布局，将厨房置于远离走廊的中心地带。胶合板和不锈钢橱柜的契合搭配，在功能性和美学之间游走，Stef 将其描述为“强与柔，自然与原始”的结合。

The designer borrowed from the medieval layout and placed the kitchen in the center away from the corridor. The combination of plywood and stainless steel cabinets walks between functionality and aesthetics. Stef describes it as a combination of strong and soft, natural and primitive.

光线透过亚麻薄纱和全高玻璃窗中进入空间，柔化了整个房屋的刚性线条和材料。灰色的陶土和白色的大理石被用来突出建筑的质朴本质，是 Stef Claes 向中世纪时代的致敬。

Light enters the space through linen tulle and full-height glass windows, softening the rigid lines and materials of the entire house. Grey clay and white marble are used to highlight the rustic nature of the building, which is Stef Claess tribute to the medieval era.
