House Fin combines neutral tones and a durable color palette to capture its past, present and future. CJH Studio emphasizes restraint and refinement in order to evoke the home that has produced a lasting resonance and serve as a place to rest and recharge.

DESIGN DESCRIPTION

House Fin 分布在两个层面，为现有的家庭住宅恢复了一种新的感觉和目的，通过一系列分阶段的干预措施实现，以适应其业主的细微差别。该提案是一个年轻且不断壮大的家庭的家园，它既是对现有的翻新又是扩建，为修订后的计划注入了一种精致的简约感和意图。

House Fin is distributed on two levels, restoring a new sense and purpose to the existing family house, achieved through a series of phased interventions to adapt to the nuances of its owners. The proposal is the home of a young and growing family. It is both a renovation and an expansion of the existing one, injecting an exquisite sense of simplicity and intent into the revised plan.

In the passage between the surrounding garden and the inner area, the resulting house clarifies how the house is used. CJH Studio brings a harmonious sensibility and creates a series of peaceful retreat spaces in the process.

House Fin is a reimagining of the entire site and carefully considered all aspects that connect the interior with the exterior. For any family residence, gardens and landscapes are indispensable and important elements in the daily ritual operation. It is essential to ensure that the soft exterior echoes the interior.

Looking at the existing, a new plan brings cohesion inside, seeing larger rooms, as well as a dedicated study area and a spacious master suite and supporting suites. The newly injected generosity changes the inner feeling and brings balance and layering to the family experience.

CJH Studio is an interior design practice, based in Melbourne, led by director Cassie James-Herrick. Cassie has over 13 years of experience in the industry, working as a Senior Associate at a prominent interior design practice before establishing CJH Studio in 2017.

The use of materiality integrated with a considered design intent ultimately communicates a warm and inviting, yet minimal approach to design. Focusing on both a love and keen eye for custom detailing.
