Kaiko Design
Kaiko Design is engaged to a professional couple and their growing family to breathe life into this dilapidated 90s brick bungalow in Sydney, Australia. The core of the redesign is a thorough review of the existing restrictive floor plan of the house. In order to invest in a house through a more practical spatial arrangement to meet the needs of our clients, we reimagined the layout of the house before considering any aesthetic factors. By addressing the location of all passages and room boundaries, many key areas of the property are now enhanced and provide more functions.
DESIGN DESCRIPTION
Through clever re-planning, we were able to add a brand new powder room, a master bedroom suite-with a dressing table and adjacent dressing area-as well as a comfortable media, a new butler storage room and a more Suitable laundry room. Focusing on the characteristics of the existing building of the house-arched holes and thresholds often appear-Kaiko Design has incorporated the arched form, introducing and repeating it throughout the building. Similarly, when carefully selecting decorations, decorations and furniture, we sympathetically combine these new tangible, home aesthetic elements with architecture.
Based on Kaiko Designs commitment to providing tailor-made unique design solutions, we customized most of the decorative lighting for this project. Drawing inspiration from the original architecture and some influences from the 1960s, we injected these functional and integrated elements into the unique personality and style of this home.
Likewise, the saturated, almost unconventional color gradation in this residence spans paint and applied finishes, providing our clients and their guests with a moment of vitality and graphics. The color, texture and configuration of each room, whether it is paint, ceramic tiles or stone, create a strong sense of personality and luxury in every corner.

Kaiko Design has created an exquisite interior space, reflecting our design concept of fusing the old soul and the new spirit. Dynamic eclecticism is the hallmark of Sydneys practice, whose works strike a balance between eternity and today, contemporary and classicism, tailored and unique. We believe in enriching life through custom design and decoration. This philosophy is reflected in our own work, our design choices, and the suppliers and partners we work with. We firmly believe that interior design should strike a balance between aesthetics and visual hierarchy. Our work incorporates texture, warmth, exquisite comfort and perception of customer personality.
