Norm Residence

新的空间配置现在使房屋与景观的关系更加明确。在完全颠倒该计划的过程中，它重新定义了与不同建筑体量相关的统一链接，该体量向该地段的特定景观组成部分开放。新开口的视角现在面向树木或特定的自然环境、天空或地面，以便远离附近建造的社区。因此，空间的布局使居民与广义的景观建立了联系，并使房屋在视觉上与邻近的建筑物隔离开来。

The new spatial configuration now makes the relationship between the house and the landscape more clear. In the process of completely reversing the plan, it redefines the unified links related to different building volumes that are open to specific landscape components of the lot. The perspective of the new opening is now facing trees or specific natural environments, the sky or the ground, so as to stay away from nearby communities. Therefore, the layout of the space allows the residents to establish a connection with the broad landscape, and the house is visually isolated from the neighboring buildings.

DESIGN DESCRIPTION

Norm Residence is a minimalist residence located in Montreal, Canada, designed by Alain Carle Architecte.

NORM is a renovation and expansion project of a single-family house. It breaks the general concept of an existing house and does not really consider its background when installing it. The house is randomly located in the middle of a gently sloping plot facing south, leaving the sunniest part of the land in the garage, while the living room faces north. From the outside, the arrangement of the volume only shows the garage doors on the street, and the pedestrian passage is almost invisible from the street.

Alain Carle has worked in the architectural field of Montreal for two decades. The quality of observation in the design process exists in all the structural parameters of the project. It addresses the critical vision of the project, the importance of the work or the collective meaning.
