中国传统园林由四座建于百年前的清代木结构古建筑和四座建于90年代的混凝土结构古建筑组成。这项翻新工程的目的是把这座历史悠久的房子改造成一套现代化的公寓。

Chinese traditional gardens are composed of four ancient wooden buildings in Qing dynasty built 100 years ago and four ancient concrete buildings built in 1990s. The purpose of the renovation project is to transform the historic house into a modern apartment.

四栋老房子改造，全部保留原有的木结构，并进行简单的加固修复。传统的漆面工艺改为黑色油漆，加上门窗天然木框，体现老建筑美丽和典雅。室内空间采用石材、胡桃木等具有自然纹理材料，设置简单自然的色调。

混凝土结构建筑的改造，设计追求更轻松、更现代的氛围，采用纯粹、简约的语言。与老房子相比，采用橡木、浅灰色水磨石地板等颜色较浅材料。通过大胆地将现代设计引入历史园林，新旧并置展现传统与现代生活方式之间有趣的对话。

The transformation of concrete structure building pursues a more relaxed and modern atmosphere with pure and simple language. Compared with the old house, the use of oak, light gray terrazzo floor and other lighter color materials. By boldly introducing modern design into the historical garden, the old and the new are juxtaposed to show an interesting dialogue between traditional and modern lifestyles.
