阿姆斯特丹的菲利克斯梅里蒂斯大厦建于1788年，是启蒙时期科学、艺术、企业家精神和批判性思维的发源地。

Built in 1788, the Felix Meritis building in Amsterdam is the birthplace of enlightenment science, art, entrepreneurship and critical thinking. Commissioned by the investment group emerburg, the designer has sensitively restored and renovated a large amount of history inside its walls.

The result can only be described as thrilling - each room has achieved a perfect balance between history and contemporary. The architects explained that the original architecture consisted of five different disciplines, including music, commerce, literature, physics and painting, each with its own unique design.

In response, the studio tried to show this diversity and give each room its own identity so that they could form a colorful collection of characters in the home of enlightenment..The renovation of the building requires a large team of experts and consultants to ensure that the new contemporary building is in harmony with the original shell of the building. The reception area is a perfect blend of old and new rooms, where visitors are first introduced to the wonders of the project.

A new raised roof makes the structural installation completely hidden from view. A labyrinth of tubular lights hung from the ceiling. Their labyrinthine shapes are reminiscent of the Pac Man game. It is undeniable that modern sounds are in sharp contrast to the classical details that cover walls, doors and fireplaces. Original old etching is brought to life, creating a life size tactile wall covering in this space.

The original features of the room are preserved and paired with contemporary new lighting - the space now feels like a fusion of classical and future. The designers described two large LED installations as modern chandeliers.. The broken surfaces of the past and the new crisp white light gather together to celebrate history and the future.

音乐厅现在既可以举办古典音乐会，也可以举办家庭聚会，因为这座建筑最终必须是一座年轻人和老年人的充满活力的文化之家。

The concert hall can now hold both classical concerts and family gatherings, because the building must ultimately be a vibrant cultural home for young and old people. A dark blue shadow extends to the curved wall, and as it moves up, it gradually disappears in vitality.

The arched windows above inject bright light into the space, creating an ethereal and secular atmosphere. Large steel chandeliers and soundproof wall cabinets will be placed indoors at the same time in the present and in the past. Flexible wall units can be turned on or off for sound absorption or reflection, and acoustic and electronic music can now be used simultaneously.

The circular architectural design and the winding curve make the space have liquidity.With magic colors, the designer enlivens the building and its surrounding atmosphere, endowing the building with new life.
