Belgian design brand when objects work has made a reputation for itself working with architects to create everyday objects with a strong focus on perfect balance and proportion. For our first object, we decided to present a bowl declined in two ways: a feminine and a masculine version of the same object. The masculine version explores the idea of a carved, solid and heavy everyday object that can be considered as a miniature piece of architecture. The feminine version is, weight-wise, a lighter version of the same object. Both bowls display simple, elegant shapes and an astute mix of materials: Iranian travertine marble, Egyptian sandstone and perforated bronze, for one; lacquer and nickel, for the other.
