The Freedom Tower La Defense is a mixed-use hub sited at the gateway to the La Defense district of Paris.

The project aims to re-emphasize the symbolic importance of a gateway and the act of passing through it — the Freedom Tower interacts specifically with the Tour Initiale Tower on the opposite side of the gateway by adopting the exact same proportion, mass and dimension as the adjacent tower. Both towers then become grounding pillars, forming the boundary of an invisible portal that mimics the Grande Arche and re-frames the passage from into La Defense.
