A solid slab of 38mm thick unfilled travertine, cut to the shape of a pill, is supported by 2 perfectly rounded cylinders made up of thin vertical strips of unfilled travertine. The table’s edge tapers to a 5mm lip, creating a lightness to the solid stone table top. Unfilled travertine was selected to match the light beige travertino floors in the apartment. Pairing the stone with the flooring was intentional to achieve a monolithic, non-contrasting and sculptural presence.
