Exploring solid timber fabrication at a complex level, this occassional table is a composition of 4 panels – 2 vertical panels supporting 2 horizontal table surfaces. The joinery between edge and surface is mitigated and made possible by the introduction of slits through the panel and edge. In order to lock the perpendicular joint, a third piece of timber is used to interlock the corners resulting in a very rigid form to the whole table.
