PLD设计以一方沙洲张家港，溯长江，环太湖，望海潮，“山水形胜”的地理景观及吴越文化蕴涵的人文精神精粹为灵感来源。打造现代典雅时尚，与传统美学并存，国际性与地方性共荣的文化内涵气韵风格的完美体验。

为了让旅客感受更为直接的到达体验观感，设计师从整体规划上把大堂及大堂吧放在酒店首层，把原本2层空间挑高到3层高度，巧妙解决了建筑进深受限的问题，营造出气势恢宏的大堂。设计师注重空间的有序性及层次性，立面，空间维度的丰富变化，用材质交替推进空间层次，流动韵律节奏，动感弧度美而有力。设计师巧思下的一幅中国山水画，打造出高远，深远，平远的诗意空间特质，有限空间内延伸出无限的意境。

春风吹碧，春云映绿，晓梦入芳裀，星光点点散落情境光源，赋予空间独特气质，情味隽永的雅趣风韵。设计师在收放开合的空间中融入诗情画意，氤氲出水乡泽国的风韵滋润，呈现出东方美学意境。

风摇翠竹窗前影，过滤时光蒙尘。设计师采用《园冶》传统“借景”手法，在落地窗外种植了象征文人胸藏文墨虚怀若谷的竹林，巧借室外光线及景观，扩展室内外视野，使得空间环境的深度和广度扩大，窗棂疏朗，突破空间局限，丰富审美情趣，竹下品茶绿色盈盏，竹下饮酒翠色满杯，同时延伸出宽阔的室内空间精致。
