Gensler has designed the new headquarters of e-commerce company Etsy, located in Brooklyn, New York City. Etsy Offices is designed to showcase their culture of treating “Code as Craft”.

Blurring the lines between workplace and habitat, Etsy’s new 200,000-square-foot headquarters is on track to become one of the largest Living Building Challenge Petal-Certified projects in the world. The three-year journey began with a broad vision as partner to the Etsy community; it has been realized through four key design concepts: celebrating the art of making; telling the Etsy story through a narrative journey; embracing nature; and capitalizing on sustainable, authentic and locally sourced materials.
