Repository House is a private residence located in north Japan, Asahikawa, Hokkaido. The house was designed by Jun Igarashi Architects. The site is located on the huge countryside outskirts of Asahikawa and the house is in relationship with this landscape.

Project description: Asahikawa, summer is more than 30 degrees, and winter become -30 degrees. Here is the region that is very big difference in the temperature. So this house have only small openings and insulation performance up. A buffer zone makes a moderate relationship with the outside world. The exterior walls use pine from Hokkaido, and also structure timbers uses from a local material. I took the wooden structure because of good thermal conductivity.

项目简介：细川，夏季超过30度，冬天变成-30度.这里是温差很大的区域。所以这房子只有很小的开口和绝缘性能。缓冲区与外部世界建立了适度的关系。外墙使用的是北海道的松木，也是用当地材料建造的木材。我采取木结构是因为良好的导热性。

Plan is surrounded by two halls (living dining/master bedroom) and washing room, which form a buffer zone. Washing room has top light and it introduces the light into the entire house. Also, it makes a diffuse light curtain.

平面图周围有两个大厅(客厅/主卧室)和洗衣室，形成了一个缓冲区。洗衣间有顶灯，它把光线引入整个房子。同时，它还制造了一个漫射光幕。

By creating a buffer zone the thermal environment is improved, and also can connect the human psychology with the surrounding environment.

通过建立缓冲区，改善了热环境，并将人类心理与周围环境联系起来。

Natural environment is a great presence, but sometimes it sudden changes to a stern expression. This is the architecture designed to show the relationship between the natural environment and the indoor environment, that changes every day.

自然环境是一个巨大的存在，但有时它突然转变为严厉的表情。这是设计用于显示自然环境和室内环境之间的关系的体系结构，每天都会发生变化。
